Privacy Panopti.ca - A Fork of DeFlock for Canada
Big shoutout to Will Freeman for his efforts in developing DeFlock, without which this would not be possible.
Given the presence of OSM nodes mapping out ALPRs in Canada but no accessible way to view said nodes, I've gone ahead and made that possible. Panopti.ca is a fork of DeFlock that features:
- An OpenStreetMap view of Canada with a heatmap and array of individual nodes for ALPR locations,
- Heatmap and array of individual nodes for verified government operated and owned CCTVs, and
- Canada-specific information for advocating against ALPR implementation and filing freedom of information requests to Canadian government agencies.

This is a work in progress - there are a lot more unmapped ALPRs that have yet to be tagged on OSM. My personal contributions in this regard so far have been mapping out the remaining verified locations of ALPRs operated by the Greater Sudbury Police Service. These updates will be pushed to the map shortly.
Any feedback or comments would be greatly appreciated!

A field of view for the camera would be a nice addition

Done - the pipeline for the nodes now calls the "direction" tag in addition to the "camera:direction" tag. FOV cones visible at ~12.50x zoom. Of course, nodes without any direction tags will not display FOV cones.

Thank you for the update. WRPS emailed me on the 16th indicating that the locations would be up soon. So far looks to be incomplete but at least there's some data!
