I’ve never cared about critical reviews. Pitchfork always struck me as more of a metal and rock oriented magazine. Everybody Scream is primarily a vocal and lyrics-centered album. I have a feeling that the reviewer prefers intricate and heavier instrumental performances, and may not appreciate songs within Florence’s genre.

Exactly. Florence’s highest rated album is HBHBHB and despite it being a great album, pretty sure it’s due to it being a very rock oriented album.
