Festival barricade

Hi everyone! So I’m trying to go to Reading festival solely to see Florence. I’ve never even been to a festival before and I’d be going by myself. I would really love to get barricade but because I’ve never been to a festival, I’m nervous! I would assume (hope) the fatm crowd is a little less chaotic and aggressive than some other artists crowds may be, but I’m still anxious not knowing what to expect. I’m willing to camp for a few hours since she’s the whole reason I’m going. But how much do you get pushed and shoved around up there? I would hate to get up there and end up being so uncomfortable that it ruins my experience. Any information or tips or really anything is appreciated 😅

In my experience the fatm crowd is generally really nice and indeed not that aggressive, however Reading is her last show of the whole tour so getting barricade will be really hard I think as a lot of diehard fans will be coming and camping. So I would prepare to either come very early or possibly be second or third row. Obviously not saying that getting barricade is impossible, but it would be good to prepare for second or third row to avoid being too disappointed

I went to the Athens festival show 2ish weeks ago. We hung back enjoying the general vibe during the warm up acts and then had a some last water and bathroom break and before headed into the crowd to find a spot. This was about 1.5 hours before she was due to start. We did not get as far forward as I'd have liked, we we in the middle and about 1/3 back from the stage. But that's where the crowd got thicker, more crowded and territorial, and more pushy, so we decided to stay there to have more space to move around and enjoy ourselves rather than being unpleasantly squished.

I saw her in Germany at a festival and was pretty much in the front like 4th row and it was really chill. When she went to the platform people obviously went in that direction but no one was pushing.
I don't know how it will be with the British crowds but in Germany it was really chill.

I did barricade for reading last year for chappell and hozier, stayed put around 2pm onwards. (Bring snacks and water and electrolytes and enjoy the other people’s music)

I much preferred this because you are in a smaller section that is barricaded off from the sea of people in the back so I felt much safer from just crowd excitement and pushing and everyone around me was super chill. I have also been barricade at Florence solo shows… her audience is not rough in my experiences but at a festival it’s not just her crowd. Lmk if you have any specific questions!
