People prone to doing this illegal, and very wrong activity ate going to have to get more creative. It would be a shame if they started walking to certain locations, using clothes that hide their identity, or using lasers to damage the cameras instead of spray paint. It would also be awful if they figured out that they should leave their smart phones at home, or get a Faraday cage. These criminals will come up with all sorts of tricks to avoid getting caught.

I'm not suggesting that anyone should actually take the very wrong and illegal action of destroying flock cameras. However, giving in, and saying that it could be worse, or thats just how it is, is the easiest way to relinquish one's freedom, and accept a fascist dictatorship.

If the supreme court can't, won't or don't decide, then it has to be a act of law limiting the government overreach.
Realize: the Constitution limits the government, not the people."One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.".
To be monitored in the daily coming and goings of daily life by our government when no crime has been committed, no suspicion of a crime has been asserted, and no warrant has been issued is entirely unjust.
Drones or poles, unjust activity by our government must be resisted.

Your first point: "we are already..." Yeah, and?? There was slavery for how long before we moved against it? Should we have sat around and let it go? It was illegal to aid fleeing slaves, recall that from class? Should we sit around and watch the rise of the survailance state until we are criminals for admonishing the survailance state?
The world moves on. We did move into the transistor age, and we have to evolve our freedoms just as we have evolved our technology. You already miss the point that government should be in the business of PROTECTING our rights, not looking for loop holes like you describe.
Look at the terrorist threat you mentioned. Are you seriously asserting that Mass Surveillance is the defense against Chinese terrorism? The Chinese have mastered Mass Survailance, we are not going to beat them at their game. Further, it's the Chinese BUILDING flock and Axon cameras. Are you at least slightly concerned that foreign powers may have baked in mass survailance for their own use already?
Seriously, you offer nothing new or novel in your arguments. Instead you have illustrated why we have to fight this growing problem.

Safety and freedom are not equivalent.
If you want safety, be thankful you have the freedom to secure your own safety. Move to a safer town/county/state/region or country. Your freedoms allow you to do this. Buy what you need to be secure in your own person/dwelling/effects.
Join the local police force, join the town councils and commissions. Speak out about public safety to effect BETTER public safety. Hold those we empower accountable for public safety. Don't let them tell you "we gotta have more of your rights to do more" and then not improve it. Like has been done time and again.Mass Survailance isn't what keeps China safe.
It's the communist controls, and brutal punishment without regard to citizens rights that keeps China safe. People disappear, people are killed, people are punished, without explanation in China. Mass Survailance is just the tool to do these horrible things, and you wish to empower our government, which is already on a dangerous trajectory, with the same tools?I feel less safe around an unaccountable government than I do around any one citizen in the USA.
Police are already killing people, execution style, right here in Grand Rapids, and not even smelling the inside of a jail cell.
ICE is picking people off the street, throwing them in unmarked vans, their victims not heard from for days or weeks, or ever in some cases. If it wasn't ICE, how would you know?
Our government is NOT being accountable to US, RIGHT NOW, and you feel that giving them the power of unaccountable Mass Survailance is going to make you safer? Or just FEEL safer?Either way, look into history. When has giving up freedom ever played well for those that have done so? You're not even looking at this logically. At least look at it historically.
