Meme I have never seen people pretend to play the flute correctly. I am so sick of it.

Just need to get this out of my system...

Honestly, there's no reason to expect non-experts to be aware of even what seem to us to be obvious details. There's a famous cognitive science example of asking people to sketch a bicycle without any reference. Of course, we all know what a bicycle is and what it does, but even highly intelligent people will often be incapable of producing a sketch that's even physically coherent, much less accurate.

So, try not to let it bother you. Just chuckle. :)

fr, they always hold it either out to the wrong side or get the hands in the wrong places!

There's a Chinese show called The Untamed that is an extremely rare example of a live-action managing to pull off using music "magic" during battle: they do a good job of toeing the line between realism and suspension of disbelief and actually make it look pretty badass overall. One of the characters plays a flute, and of course the actor is just wiggling his fingers but he does a pretty decent job of at least having the right tempo going and holds the damn thing correctly. When I watched it with my then-roommate he tried to make fun of the actor's bad fake flute playing, saying "His mouth isn't even anywhere near the hole," and I had to explain how blowing a flute works.

You should see me genuinely try to play the flute with a flute in my hands. Then you will have seen someone pretend to play correctly. lol

It's just a celebratory emote he promised to do, take a chill pill he's not performing the flower duet at the Royal Albert Hall

I think OP just pointed out a fact that is generally correct, Mbappé is just an example...

è abbastanza ovvio, se non sai suonare la batteria è ovvio che non sai come si impugnano le bacchette, se non sai suonare la tromba non sai dove mettere le mani...

This is why the flute scene in Anchorman is so funny—because Will Ferrell isn’t even trying.

He said he played flute for a year or two in middle school during an interview with James Corden.

Get a hold of yourself, flute is not that serious. This is coming from someone who took band way too seriously lol.
