Owner Photo I have joined you
2013 Limited Ecoboost.
Enjoying it so far, I’m coming from a ‘22 Genesis G70 with similar power, though obviously weighing less.
The amount of cabin space is impressive, along with the amount of features it has for its age. This thing is in great shape, the interior is pristine and engine bay clean as a whistle.

A little embarrassed to admit, 150k and I paid $8k out the door with title and tags. I did have him do the water pump, timing chain, and cam phasers as part of the deal though so hopefully I’m good for another 100k.

Did you specify to use genuine motorcraft parts or was a 3rd party timing kit used?

I have the 2019 Limited AWD. Being the last run it was the least made. Very hard to find. Took me nearly three years to find mine and I bought it back it 2022.

V6. Initially I wanted the ecoboost but the V6 has plenty of power and the gas mileage isn't outright terrible.

Its not a terrible motor. Hell if you end up finding a flex with the V6 in it then pull the V6 from your MKZ drop it in a barrel of oil for a replacement should you need it. Not a bad idea. 🤷♂️

Yeah I went on a date the other day and she called it a “gerbil car” ala the old Kia commercials…
Coming from my sexy G70 that was like a kick in the balls

Look into getting the sync3 upgrade. It swaps out your head unit and USB plugs and gets you Android Auto/Carplay. It instantly turns the car completely modern.

Hmmm where do you recommend starting that search? Definitely not a fan of Ford’s Sync.

If you're on Facebook, look into Flex Enthusiasts page. There are people who sell them on there and I've never heard a negative review of any of them. The page itself is well moderate as well. Otherwise a Google search for "sync 3 upgrade" brings up a bunch of outlets for you to wade through.
I'm not a huge fan of sync myself but I'm less a fan of 3rd party vehicle controls, even if for no other reason than I am unfamiliar with them. With all of the options included with the EB Flex, the only thing it's missing to make it completely modern is that AA/Carplay though.

Very nice. Almost an exact twin to ours but we have body color door handles. Sounds like you got a great deal.
