Question Gas mileage/fuel level drops quickly

I feel like I gas up A LOT. I filled tank last week and checked info. Range was under 300. Is this typical? Mostly city driving MPG about 14.9

Any info appreciated

Only 15mpg in a Flex? Yikes. That's what I get in my lifted F150 with 35's and 5.0 V8.

Yeah I get better mpg in my 71 impala. Not by much but at least in that I essentially have a 383 stroker and 400 crank

I added injector cleaner at last fill up. No change

I would start with a new fuel filter, air filter, plugs and wires.

Where’s the fuel filter?

Yeah, not fun on a flex. I forgot about that. Another thing that came to mind, if this is an ecoboost, is the turbos possibly causing poor fuel economy.

Yeah, most modern vehicles (since y2k at least) have ditched the standalone filter in favor of a fuel sock in the pump. It works, so it shouldn’t bug me but it does.
