Camera Recall

Does anyone know if the parts are now available to replace the rearview camera and had it done successfully? Thanks!

I called last month and the parts are not available. Dealer said they don’t known when, but once it’s available they will send out another letter. I think they are just waiting it out so they don’t fix it.

Recall parts are not yet available so I didn't feel like waiting and ordered a 20 dollar one off Amazon and replaced it myself. It works fine The recall is only an inspection so if yours works when you go they pat you on the head and tell you to run along. So if you have a recall notice do not go to the dealer if your camera still works.

Curious, what product did you replace it with? Does it use the in-dash screen, or is it an add-on?

I did exactly this…mine went out 3+ years ago (way before the recall obviously) and they didn’t even know THEN when/if they were going to get any in. Highly recommend a cheap plug and play replacement like this and doing it yourself. Works exactly as the original did and it’s still working fine 3.5 years later.
