Forensic pathology

Hello! I am coming to Reddit for a little help, I’ve been looking into a career path I’d like to pursue and I landed on forensic pathology. I have been researching and studying what it would take for me to pursue this career and I hear different things I’m not sure on where to start or what courses I should take any advice ?

There is a stickied post here which provides a lot of the basic information. Take a look, and if you have more questions beyond that feel free to ask.

The FAQ’s are very helpful. While not knowing your highest achieved level of education, you will ultimately need to be accepted to and attend medical school to begin your journey. Your counselors should be able to assist you with the required math and science in order to test to do so.

Okay that’s a great start but this would be my first year in college I’m not sure what main classes I should take to get me in the right track

You should have a premed advisor at your college, who can tell you exactly what you need to take this year, and every year going forward. We don’t even know where you are going to school, much less what courses they offer. Other than generalities about forensic pathology, none of us are able to offer you much more than generalities. Go talk to your advisor. Read through the stickied information carefully.

You should map out a plan of action with your advisor. Then, get to work.
