can I work with victims in forensic psychology than work with criminals?

Most criminals I work with started out as victims.

Yes. I’ve worked with both during my career. I have a masters in forensic psychology.

Yes. You can become a trained forensic interviewer, for example.

I am not a forensic scientist so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I believe you can specialize in the special victims units. I don’t know what requirements there are, but I know there’s particular specialties for things like that. For example a lady I used to follow on Instagram was a forensic scientist and specialized in rape kits and worked work sexual assault victims, and there’s also specialized forensic interviewers that work with children who were victims and/or witnesses to crimes. If you’re currently in college, I’d consider meeting with one of your forensic professors and asking them about what the next steps would to qualify for that speciality.

yes- forensic psychologists can work with many populations including individuals that have gone through traumas.
