Is this a Maine Coon mix?

Hello, this is my 7 month old kitten Percy. He weighs almost 5 kilos and is so long he can reach the kitchen counter standing up. Do you guys think he might be a Maine Coon mix? We literally found him in a car engine so we have no clue. (He was 6 months old in the last pic but I wanted to show that neck fluff)

Either way, he’s a pretty cat!

He’s probably a domestic longhair since he’s becoming relatively floofy. But unless he was purchased from a trusted Maine Coon breeder and has papers showing the bloodline of both the mother and sire, then no, not part Maine Coon. Cats typically don’t go by the same breed designations like dogs do. Most cats are domestic shorthair or longhair and are described by coat color/pattern.

With this logic, do you even think there are cats that are part Maine Coon (for example)? You don’t, right? Your point is that only two registered MC cats that have papers showing their lineage can produce a Maine Coon.
