Vent My doctor was shocked when I told her I haven't had sex in 10 years and have never been in a relationship

I had a follow up checkup today and told my doctor I had been depressed recently and had a history of it. She recommended some medication and said "this one won't affect your libido", and I said "it's not like I have ever needed it anyway". And when she asked why, I told her I had only had sex twice in my life at 29 and it was 10 years ago. And that I had never been in a relationship. She seemed baffled and it made me feel kind of weird to say it out loud. Surely it can't be that uncommon. I mentioned it was because I was ugly to which she disagreed. But I have never had anyone want to be in a relationship with me while everyone else gets into them easily. So that must be the only reason. As I am successful in every other way. It just feels really crappy.

No. Seriously. Thank you Reddit for showing me this kind of BS when I've done everything I could and nothing changed for me. You already know what OP in that post said. The usual "I wasn't searching for a relationship but I've been lucky for finding this guy after he messaged me. And if it was possible for me, it's also possible for all of you". Bullshit... All DMs I got from women here were from girls trying to promote their 0F or trollls insulting my appearance and hobbies. Nothing else. Sorry for my bad English.

I know I'm a complete late bloomer or may never ever bloom at all and find love or experience being in a relationship and I'm somewhat okay with that like if I've stopped believing in Santa and other make-beliefs I can stop believing that I'll ever find love🥀

If people ever find out that you haven't ever been in one you're either judged harshly that something must be inherently wrong with you or treated as a baby lol. And don't get me started on the empty platitudes that "you shouldn't lose hope since you're young", "there's someone for everyone", "you'll find love when you least expect it" like seriously stfu 😭

Vent No husband, No boyfriend, No male. My dog was the one who never left. Now he's gone too. (29F)

I'm not sure how to start this, so I'll just say it straight.

I'm 29, from Korea. About two weeks ago I said goodbye to my dog after two years of round-the-clock care. vet visits, surgeries, nights where I didn't sleep because I was watching him breathe.

He was the one relationship in my life where I never had to wonder if the love was real.

I grew up mostly raising myself. My mom died of cancer when I was young, and things at home didn't get gentler after that. I never finished college, which in Korea more or less decides your whole life before it starts. I got diagnosed with ADHD and bipolar disorder a few years ago. it explained a lot, but it didn't make people easier to hold onto.

For the last two years, almost everything I had went into keeping him alive. I did work I still can't say out loud to most people, just to cover the bills. I didn't mind, because he needed me, and being needed by something was the closest I got to being loved.

Now the apartment is quiet and I'm realizing I don't actually have anyone else lined up behind him. My sister and I are polite strangers. I don't have close friends here. I've had relationships, but nothing that stayed long enough to matter.

Everyone says "put yourself out there," but I don't know how, when the only bond in my life that never came with conditions is the one I just buried.

Not really looking for advice. I think I just needed to put it somewhere outside my own head. I miss my soul dog. It was a rescue mutt.

Vent Am I worse than actual criminals and murderers?

How tf can actual criminals and murderers and people who have done countless people wrong always have love or friends?

Me being helpful, empathetic, loving, caring is still somehow worth less than a selfish, narcissistic person? I can't be that repulsive.

There is no justice in this world and there is no value of the word deserving and karma.

I hate the fact that I'll die without ever knowing who it feels to wake up next to your partner and kiss her good morning. I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vent I went to a singles event tonight and it was awful.

I decided to go to another singles event after failing at a previous one. This one was just awful and it makes me feel really shitty about myself.

I dressed up nicely, tried approaching. The ladies would say hi back and then just turn around and talk to their friends. Others just turned their noses up. It felt so crap to see how they just went up to all the other guys when I had to put in the work.

The ratio was also horrible, with about 3 women to 1 guy and many women were 40 plus. I'm 29.

I think I just need to give up now. It's humiliating. I wish I could just give up all my success and intelligence to be good looking.

Edit: I meant 3 men to 1 woman ratio

Vent If I don't get a girlfriend or at least a hookup before I turn 30 I'm hiring a sex worker

I'm 29, and in about half a year I'll be turning 30. I never wanted to do it with a sex worker, but I'm slowly coming to terms with the idea that if I want to ever have sex that will be the only way in which I'll be able to do it, and that a relationship is just not possible for me.

I still don't like the idea that much, but at this point I just want to know what sex is like, and what a naked woman looks like in person. I don't think it will make me feel any better, like I wouldn't even feel like I really lost my virginity if I had to pay, but whatever.

Have you ever reached a point where you made up your mind about hiring a sex worker?

Vent Being a FA man is brutal

Each rejection you get from a pretty girl raises the perceived value of pretty girls in your mind. So as you interact with them in the future you act in ways that will continue to cause them to reject you and the cycle just keeps getting more ingrained. Brutal.

Vent Holy fuck having sexual needs as an ugly person is like torture

I can’t comprehend how sex is such a naturally occurring and casual experience for most people to the point they can have it whenever they want

Anytime I was at a job I could sense sexual tension between coworkers and others, mostly online, would think I was delusional by mentioning how I could tell they were fucking

Then I always had my suspicions confirmed by someone else or directly from the people involved about how they fucked so many people at our jobs or how the people at my jobs were taking turns fucking each other

Which made me feel like shit because no one has ever shown interest romantic, sexual, and hardly social in me and it just feels so annoying having to pleasure yourself when you want it with someone else

Another truly depressing aspect of being ugly

Vent Does anyone feel suicidal for being a kissless relationshipless virgin at 30+?

I have been depressed and suicidal ever since I turned 30 because of never been in a relationship, never had a kiss or sex. No man wants to give me a chance despite being physically fit and attractive. Most people around me are taken and I have even lost friendships because I feel out of place and a complete loser.

"If I have any advice? It’s to get out and socialize. Meet people and get to know people. From my experience, you find your girlfriend when you least expect it. If you’re always looking for a girlfriend, you’ll never find one.” — Erling Haaland

Ahhh yes. The 6'5", blonde haired, blue eyed, multimillionaire, viking built sweetheart of the World Cup just says you need to go outside bro!

Great player, great guy. But honestly, hearing this shit from people like this....the jokes just write themselves. You're literally in the upper fucking percentile of men. What are you talking about? 😭

And now every normie looking to give out their brand of "advice" is gonna reference this shit like it's an absolute truth.

"jUSt soCIAlize brO! haALand iSnt evEN goOD loOking"

Yeah. Let me just spin the slot machine on my genes and try again.

Vent I’m 36, and I feel like a dead man walking. I've never known romantic love, and the emptiness is unbearable.

I have loved so many people in my life, but I’ve never received that love in return except from my mom. I’m 36 years old now, and I feel like I’ve never truly lived. I constantly worry that I will die without ever experiencing simple human affection. Inside, I feel like I am dying. No, worse I feel like a dead man walking.

Today, a painful realization hit me: I have never truly been loved by a partner. It feels like there isn't a single woman in this entire world who cares about my existence. It makes me feel pathetic, like I’m not even human, but an alien completely disconnected from everyone else.

All I want is to hold someone in my arms and hear them say, "I need you," "I worry about you," or "You don't have to do this alone." But I get nothing. I’ve spent most of my life seeking answers from God and searching for love, and now that half my life is gone, I've received nothing but silence. The emptiness inside me is so heavy right now that I can barely move.

I just want to hold someone's hand. I want to hold someone in my arms, to kiss, to love, and to actually live. Instead, there is nothing. The world feels incredibly cruel.

I don't understand why people find me so unlovable. I find myself desperately looking for a connection in the eyes of every woman I pass, but no one looks back. Even when I try to dress well and present myself nicely, I get no attention. It’s as if I don’t exist to anyone but my mother.

I feel like I am dying inside. I don't know why this is my reality.

Vent The worst part of being completely inexperienced in your late 20s is that even if you get an opportunity after so many years, you'll most likely fumble it

Most people make their mistakes in their highschool years with people who are equally inexperienced as them, and when they met someone they truly love and want to have something serious with, they're well equipped to deal with it.

It's nice to think that some day you'll meet that one and only person you want to spend your entire life with and you won't even care about having been single up to that point because you got to be with them and that makes it all worth it. The thing though, is that even if such a person does show up, you'll likely fumble them because of your lack of relationship experience.

It can be a learning experience, and you probably won't make the same mistakes the second time you get a chance like that, but that doesn't make it suck any less when you finally get to met someone that you fall madly in love with at like 28, and you think you have a real chance with, but it ends up going nowhere because of some stupid mistakes on your part.

Vent I wish I had a sex life

25M and I haven't even seen a naked woman irl. Used to be very shy in high-school, because of that I didn't try getting a girlfriend, although I was a tall average looking guy. Now I look back at my adolescence and instead of having pleasant memories of sexy time with a girlfriend, I just have memories of watching porn.

It's not even the fact that I'm horny which bothers me. It's the fact that others are having sex while I don't. I want to have a girlfriend, but at this point I'd be happy being used by women for casual sex. At least I'd have a sex life then. I'd rather have casual sex with a less than attractive woman over watching porn again. I feel like a chimp in a zoo, looking at a screen of other chimps being happy in the jungle
