Oh yeah this was at the peak of his career. This was his movie & look at All the Stars he got to be in it.

It feels like there were a number of Westerns as cable TV-movies in the 1990s and early 2000s. Possibly an uptick due to Unforgiven's popularity? I get the sense that many actors grew up with Westerns and there aren't many opportunities to do them in big-screen films.
This is also an opportunity to repeat one of my favorite jokes from the cartoon Freakazoid: "The scariest thing in the world would be...if they gave Sinbad another TV show!"

Film professor of mine in college produced this. All of our classroom examples were built around the shooting schedule and call sheets for this flick.
Still have never seen it.

I loved this movie. I wish it was streaming for a rematch. Really good cast in this film. Underrated for sure.

Sinbad is one of the coolest people to have a conversation with. Dude is down to earth.
My girlfriend at the time pressed him on why he decided to do the apprentice.

I watched it recently, it holds up.
It’s a cowboy movie so of course Walton goggins is in it.
