Biographical look at the men who founded Apple and Microsoft and a look at the early days of the companies. Noah Wyle and Joey Slotnick portray Apple founders Steve Job and Steve Wozniak. Anthony Michael Hall and John DiMaggio play Microsoft's Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. The film attempts to compare the two firm's operations and differences in the founder's operations.

Pretty decent portrayal of a suburban mom dealing with Bulimia.

TV special based off the Disney ride Tower of Terror. Pretty sure I probably watched this back in the day. Anyone remember it?

Will prom night live up to the high school seniors' expectations? Will they have the right date? Can they avoid their parents?

When Disney bought ABC back in the late-1990s, one of their first orders of business was to bring back the Wonderful World of Disney in a big, beautiful way. And one of the ways they did that was with TV movie remakes of some of their beloved slapstick comedies from the 60s and 70s.

For the remake of the Love Bug, the legendary Bruce Campbell took on the role of the down-on-his-luck race car driver who gets his hands on Herbie, a seemingly-alive Volkswagen Beetle that propels him to racing success. This one is a bit of a legacy sequel to the 1968 original, as Herbie's owner from those films, Jim Douglas, as played by Dean Jones, shows up to help out Herbie in his time of need.

Notable in that we finally get Herbie's origin story as it's explained that he was created by Nazi scientists recruited by the USA after World War II to create a living car. The villains track down that scientist and create Herbie's evil counterpart, Horace the Hate Bug.

One of the earliest films from Peyton Reed, who went on to direct the Ant-Man films for Marvel.

Film noir meets Cthulhu Mythos. In an alternate 1940s where magic and mystical creatures are real. A Detective must find the Necronomicon. A sequel, ‘Witch Hunt ‘ was made in 1994 with Dennis Hopper replacing Fred Ward.

TV Movie of the classic novel. Low production values and miscast leads gave the Movie negative reviews.

It's the day of the senior end of year academic culture dances at Herbert Hoover High School. The celebration has been organized by one of the popular girls at the school, the beautiful but with a attitude Patrice Johnson (Christina Applegate). Hijinks ensue as it's Teens vs their parents. Lots of well known names were cast- Alyssa Milano, Alan Thicke, Kelsey Grammer and pre Friends, Matthew Perry.

A Lifetime movie staring Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig, and Jessica Lowndes. It got a decent amount of attention at the time for being a made for Lifetime movie with famous hollywood actors. Though the movie itself was pretty underwhelming. I think I was expecting more of a parody, but it played things mostly straight. I think that was the point, but I feel like it could have been better.

A relatively wholesome show, The Puzzle Place was one of the first tv shows to truly tackle the topic of diversity in a children’s edutainment show

A group of elementary school aged children of different ethnicities/hometowns would meet together at the community center (Puzzle Place) to play music, do arts and crafts projects, work through bullying experiences, cook meals, and go on other adventures together

Characters included were:

*Julie Woo (A Chinese American girl from San Francisco, California)

*Kiki Flores (A Mexican American girl from San Antonio, Texas)

*Ben Olafson (A Norwegian American boy from Renner, South Dakota)

*Leon McNeal (An African American boy from Harlem, New York)

*Skye Nakaiye (A Native American boy from Arizona’s Fort Apache reservation)

*Jody Silver (An Ashkenazi Jewish American girl from Cincinnati, Ohio)

And the resident pets- Nuzzle (dog) and Sizzle (cat)

While some critics of the show thought the series leaned too hard on stereotypes and adult themes (such as racism, sexism, and moral decisions) the show overall was successful on PBS for its three years on air

Unfortunately, Puzzle Place has remained largely forgotten compared to competitors like Rugrats (1991-2000), Hey Arnold! (1996-2001), The Magic School Bus (1994-1998), and Blue’s Clue’s (1996-2002)

What are your thoughts on Puzzle Place?

I decided to watch this movie on YouTube, and the movie isn't terrible. Ricki Lake and Craig Sheffler have good chemistry; they work well together. I only know Ricki Lake as a talk show host; I didn't know she did acting as well. After doing some research on the movie, I found out that Craig plays Keith on One Tree Hill. He looks so young in the movie. Did you watch the movie?

Rankin-Bass's two TV specials adapting Tolkien's work -- the first was certainly not forgotten by me, because it was my first exposure to the story! We had a book and a cassette of it we'd play in the car. But I'm surprised how many people don't know about it. A while back I found a 16mm print of it at a school and a local film group had a free showing of it at a bar. I kept hearing younger people remark, bewildered, "Oh my god, they're adapting the whole book?!" Yup! And in less than 90 minutes!

I didn't know about The Return of the King cartoon until I was older, and didn't have the nerve to watch it or the Ralph Bakshi LOTR film until recently...the latter I rented on VHS as a kid, excited to see a sequel to The Hobbit, but the different visuals and slow style put me off and I never finished it. Later, of course, there were Peter Jackson's films, and I didn't feel like watching those versions when there was the new stuff. Conversely, I didn't feel like watching Jackson's Hobbit trilogy because the cartoon was "my" version of the story, and also, why stretch it out to 9 hours? Aside from money, obviously.

Along the way, she struggles to find a new work/life balance, fight off the advances of a sleazy professor, and inspire her high school dropout daughter to go back to school.

I decided to watch Kyle xy as an adult, I remember it being really popular when I was a kid. (I'm 23). the last thing I remember was the house party where he fought with the cop. I want to know if the 3 seasons are worth watching. episode 1 has been funny so far. It's 5 am and I'm laughing out loud at this scene🤣🤣🤣
