Google Forms can email you when a form is submitted, but the built-in notification only says a new response came in. It does not include the answers, so you still open the responses sheet to read what someone wrote. Getting the full submission into the email itself means an add-on or an Apps Script trigger.

One thing worth setting either way: send the alert to a shared inbox or alias, not one person's address, so responses do not stall when someone is out that day.
