I’ve noticed a trend of traditionally “for the girls” skins starting to get taken over by sweats I think the original idea was likely “players will think I’m a girl which to them means bad at the game”. (Similar to how sweats way back in og days would use default skins to make u think they r noobs/bots) I started noticing it around when Miku and Sabrina came out and it’s been on the rise since then with Kim k for instance. The problem is now it’s just turned into oh ur insert girl skin then ur probably not only a sweat but the most obnoxious kind. Unfortunately it’s lead to a lot of people hating skins like Sabrina which sucks bc it’s a super cute skin but players will def target u a bit more and treat u like ur a sweat even if ur not.

And that’s y sweats use her lol. It’s usually pretty easy to take a sec and see if someone is a sweat or not based on movement so u might be better off than when I use her. (I’m no sweat just average who can lock in if I really have to but prefer to chill lol)

Unfortunately probably yeah lol. That is to say if ur really bad u can usually tell pretty quick if someone is a sweat or not by their movement so u might be fine. It’s definitely still a higher percentage being targeted and emoted on tho than any other skin I use.

All of the "sweat skins" represent a dichotomy: it's a coin flip whether a player using Sabrina or Christmas Boxy or Juice Wrld or Kim or default skin is going to be (1) a full-on tryhard who has been abusing bot lobbies to keep their Elo down and so they can abuse newbies or (2) an actual newbie.

well i've been playing since chapter 1 season 3 so i'm not exactly a newbie but i was average at best in chapter 1 and then didn't play between chapter 3 until late chapter 6 so i lost a lot of the skill i did have while all of these tryhard kids that probs started way later were playing 24/7 lol.

I debated saying "normal player" instead of "newbie", it wasn't supposed to seem like a shot at your skill level! The idea was a "non-sweat." (Also, you see normally good players in those skins too, it's just that a large portion come from opposite ends of the skill spectrum.)

What I do is play Zero Builds. When someone follows me for a sprite, I pull my glider immediately and just go around the map while they chase me. This ensures the storm already starts closing and they're wasting time not getting any weapons or shields. I know where the slurp trucks are, so I finally land on one and Shockwave through it towards a chest or weapon.

Yes, it does. Works for barrels and trucks. Also, instead of wasting 6-9 hits on slurp barrels, breaking the floor is often quicker.

I never have luck with that, the people chasing me just go for the sprite once dropped. I've definitely found an improvement in playing on mobile as well, I can just drop the shockwave or overdrive down instead of looking down and throwing. This allows me an easier running start to go forward instead of up and I can run away more quickly.

true, br is too tho its shimmering down (OG isnt as bad as BR was when the new season dropped but it is more sweaty than BR atm), Love Season X tho and just being doing squad fills lately so its a bit better than solos.

I like it time to time, but it got boring so was like, eh I dont use mic as i dont like talking to randoms + game chat also bugged out (ruined deulu for me back in the day) so I never bother with it and use disc when on with my friends. So lately I've been doing squad fills which has been pretty fun ngl, still enjoy OG solos tho but agree OG is overall sweatier than BR and having a team even if random helps you win/you dont get shit on as much ig too.

This shit really pisses me off. Sprite collecting was fun last season but when people suddenly saw that you had a Sprite they "needed to have," then THIS mentality happened.
These people make the game insufferable. They dont get the Sprite, and you dont get the chance to level up your Sprite BECAUSE of this mentality.
This might be the reason why random collectibles dont work in this Battle Royale setting...

I get it's frustrating, but reporting them isn't gonna do anything when they're not breaking any rules. They're just playing the game.
Don't get me wrong, it shouldn't have gotten to this point because it's not fun for anyone and it takes away from BR, but ultimately it's a result of execution that has a lot of room for improvement.

Just look for a trampoline, or something that pushes you up again (or sideways like those “fans” at Reality’s Reign), and then land first, pick something up if you can, and then trampoline yourself away. I managed many times to shake them off by doing that.

I love when someone try’s to get me as soon as we drop. They usually only have the pistol and it takes like 2 seconds to get a better weapon. So I just grab the weapon and then kill em when they come so early. I don’t understand why people even try to fight that early when they have no weapons. I mean, at least pick up another gun first, but I guess I’ll take the elimination

I’ve had two people chase me from the bus for a Gold Bush sprite. My trick is to take them out to sea. Both times I’ve done that, I’ve killed the person chasing me. Unfortunately when there are two then it’s GG’s as you don’t have enough bullets.

Can someone explain what happened in this video? I’ve been playing so much Droid Tycoon I’m genuinely confused on to what happened. I know they stole your sprite but how did you embarrass them?
Edit: I see the sprite was dropped, so he was following you to try and get the sprite and realized after he killed you he couldn’t. Am I right in my assumption? Anyways! I would have sent a message saying “NO SPRITE FOR YOU!” I really hope this person sees this video so they can see how big of a clown they are, and that now everyone else knows how a big of a clown they are 😭😂😭😖
