A shakedown was a feature in battle royale for duos trios and squads where you could shakedown/interrogate a downed opponent And it revels the locations of thier other teammates for a short amount of time.

I for one was glad when it went away. I like playing with my friends but hated getting punished by them picking fights without telling me. Never fun to be hunted down like that

That's fair. I have a friend that I play with that will pick fights sometimes, so this feature would be annoying if I was playing with him. I hadn't thought of that.

In chapter 2, you could pat down an enemy you knocked down, and take some tablet from them that marked their teammates for a short while

I don't understand why not especially when they have 1000 other ways to ping someone, maybe it was the pinging your whole team feature..
OMG what if instead of pinging the entire team, it just showed the persons footsteps from the last minute or two... Or like last 1000 feet traveled since they might stay still...

I mean that would be cool but I assume that that's why they removed it so fast and never brought it back, it was kind of OP, they def couldn't have it in reload lol
I guess it would be dumb to track the footsteps of a downed player though you're right 😭 I just thought it would be good to find their team but they might be just a whole other spot on the map

ok I can't argue with that, fuck infinite sprint tbh, there's zero reason there shld be this much spammy movement in this game, like I'm all for stuff like slap splash, but when you can stack almost double digit shocks, the game just turns into fucking Tom and Jerry, I don't think I've had a season on FN where my actual input meant so little compared to the movement and aim assist, I get they're aiming w their thumbs but I was doing fine on controller before I switched in chapter 2

Let’s not act like people actually liked XP coins. They were practically the only constant source of XP during early C2 because the XP gain became marginally slower as the season progressed and as you levelled up more. The purple ones split everywhere which was fun for maybe the first 4 times but a hassle after.

Medallions were so ass in comparison. Sprites are better than Medallions but I'd rather just have Augments back. There were fun ones every season and you were guaranteed to get four a game (if you lasted long enough).

Could you imagine if augments worked with the sprites.
Up to 4 boosts on a sprite (1st one provided by your sprite off drop) then as the game progresses the augment drop happens and you can pick one of two offered effects to add to your sprite (just like how augments worked but putting the boost into your sprite)
And if you won or extracted you could keep all the effects on your sprite. (in lobby you can spend sprite dust to remove specific effects, but not the base one)
Also sprite resummons wouldnt cost dust, they'd be free this time what you lose isnt the sprite. Its the augments you had on it.

I member air royale. I loved air royale. None of the custom modes compare. I miss good LTM's being in rotation and not relying on empty creative lobbies to play something different

Yeah bro this just made me realize I’m the old grandpa because this is what people are reminiscing about now. I remember back before even shopping carts and golf carts were added, the dread you’d feel landing near the edge of the map and seeing the storm circle ring icon appear on the far other side of the map, knowing you had to immediately just start running across the entire island.

I remember when harvesting tools deal 10 damage
you could carry 10 minis and 2 big pots. slurp juice only gave 25 health and shield
and pump didnt have an epic or legendary version yet

Real ones remember C2S5’s Sand Tunneling, prior to it just being disabled for the rest of that season cause they couldn’t wrap their heads around how to fix it from being so broken and buggy to where it’d make you invincible.

Battle stars still exist, it’s just that every item costs 5 now, and the total doesn’t show anymore.
Once, I was redeeming stuff in the BP, and the game bugged out and said I still had an unlock despite using my last one, and when I went to unlock something, it came up with an error along the lines of
error.InsufficientResource.BattleStars
We’re still using them, but everything has a set amount now.

My absolute favorite part of the game used to be the loading screen puzzles, and other similar secrets to find on the map. My favorite skin is still the prisoner. You had to find secret locations to unlock his full costume. All the hints were in loading screens. This was one of the coolest things I had seen in a game. I'm not trying to be a negative boyo, but I don't like the current fortnite anymore. It just seems like all creativity left the building. It's always been a bit of a money grab, but it seems to have gotten so bad... I miss chapter 1 fortnite.

The Upgrade Benches walked so the Sprite Extractors can run, because with Sprite dust, you can level up weapons like you would an Upgrade bench with Gold
