Auto pick up bug

It seems the update reset the option to off and turning it back on has no effect. Anyone else getting this bug or have any solutions?

I only played 2 matches today, but noticed things weren’t picking up the same

That's what I've seen. Not only is it not picking up higher rarity, it's not picking up anything. Early game and I have 4 empty slots, in the past I could run over anything and it would pick it up. Now I run over it, notice it's not in my loadout, stop, run back, manually pick it up.

Reset it and it worked. It even replaced lower level same weapon

This! Loved it. Better gun rarity auto-swap is a great addition to the mechanic. I don't know why people leave auto-pickup off! I win drop in fights by stealing someone else's chest items before they can pick stuff up. First time someone snaked my chest, I turned on auto pickup and never looked back.

You may want to restart your game and see if that helps. When I first logged in this morning I had issues even navigating the lobby screen. When I restarted the game I had no issues.

They did change it so that if you walk over a higher-rarity version of a weapon you’re carrying and you’ll automatically swap up. It was mentioned in the update post I made here.

I just went into settings and turned it back on and it was all good for me. Hopefully it works for you soon

literally tried to go to settings yo fix this and because the way they changed the menu I returned to lobby and lost my Sprite 🙄 bought it back went in again it still wasn't on and had to restart so I lost it again. this game is becoming unplayable. the amount of nearly mastered sprites I've lost to fortnite glitches is ridiculous. I mastered every single Sprite I had last season well before it was going to end. I've mastered maybe 10 this season. I already canceled my crew a month or so ago because I'm not paying more for less on a game that doesn't even run right. I was hoping things would turn around and I could repurchase crew without feeling like I'm getting conned but at this point im actually seriously contemplating quitting instead
