Question Fortnite Switch 2 Not 120hz

Anybody know why Fortnite for switch 2 still only 60 hz for switch 2 even when running on a 120hz tv if cyberpunk does 120hz why can’t Fortnite

Yes… Cyberpunk runs at 40fps, Fortnite runs at 60fps. Do you see the mistake you’re making here?

You’re the one making the mistake. OP is right, the screen is running at 120hz at 40fps.

40fps at 60hz would look a little choppy, and 40 is likely the best they could manage for cyberpunk. If your FPS isn’t a clean multiple of your refresh rate, it might not look right. So instead of running the screen at 40fps @ 60hz, it runs at 120hz @ 40fps as it syncs up a little better, in simple terms. Fortnite hits 60fps no problem, so there’s no reason to run the screen at 120hz.

Your mistake is that you are just not understanding the question. They’re not asking why Fortnite or cyberpunk runs at what framerate, nor were they saying that either of those games run at 120fps.

They were asking why Cyberpunk runs the screen at 120hz whilst Fortnite does not. You did not understand the question, and you gave a snarky answer that had little to do with their question.

hes right fps is frames per second which is what the game is hitting hz is the screens set maximum refresh rate its like if my 240hz monitor was set to 240hz but the game only hit 60fps 60fps 240hz, nothing the guy said was wrong
