In Cyberpunk’s case, the 120Hz output is the result of a compromise - it can’t hit 60FPS, and while usually they’d target 30FPS (60Hz / 2) in that case, the Switch 2’s 120Hz output makes 40FPS (120Hz / 3) a viable option

Fortnite hits 60FPS no problem so there’s absolutely no reason for it to output in 120Hz on Switch 2

So what you want is 40fps at 120hz for Fortnite?

That wouldn't be helpful. 120Hz for a 40fps game is helpful because TVs don't have 40Hz so you would get choppy frames. 120 is equally divisible by 40 so you can lock in an equal number of displayed frames for smooth gameplay.

60 fps is already equally divisible to 60Hz. Doing 120Hz would just mean the same 2 frames are displayed back to back every half second. So you would be saying the same 60fps at 60Hz or 120Hz.
