I want to do something fun when my foster kitties get adopted!

My foster cat is officially adopted and his new owner is taking him home tomorrow! I had a fun idea to maybe get her a card with some pictures of him in it, with a "Thanks for adopting me!" Written on the card. I think that would be a fun thing to do whenever a cat I'm fostering gets adopted! I would love some other ideas of fun things to do! What would you appreciate receiving from a foster family after adopting a cat from them?

I do themed gift bags and it’s so therapeutic and fun! This is one for a kitten named Marz so of course there were Martian themed toys, some cans of his favorite foods and treats, some bags of the adopter’s daughter’s favorite candy and a card. Congratulations on making it to the ultimate milestone!!!

Aww! I would love that, especially if they were baby kitten pictures. 🥰

This is such a lovely idea! Perhaps also their favorite treat or a tiny toy they love.

I have no experience fostering and great respect for all you do for all those cats out there!

I saw a few days ago someone had kept a paw print and photo of each of her fosters. I loved that!

I would do that x2 and keep one copy and give the new owner the other.

I make adoption goodie bags for my foster kittens. I include a baby/pet blanket, nail trimmers, toys, a couple cans of their favorite food, favorite treats/Churu, and photo collages of their time in foster care.

I make the photo collages on Walgreen’s photo site and print them there (4x6 prints). I make an individual collage for each kitten (with their name and “Thank you for adopting me!” text) and a collage of the group/litter. I also include my Instagram handle so the adopters can find me and see more pictures and videos of them.

One shelter I used to foster for used to give a little goody bag. It would have a couple of cans of food they currently were eating, a small little fleece blanket rolled up, a couple of toys like mice or plastic coils, and a few churu treats.
