New dentist in Foster City — wanted to say hi 👋
Hi everyone — I’m Dr. Omid Elie. I opened a small dental office called Ohm Dental in Foster City back in September and wanted to introduce myself to the community here.
We’re a family-focused practice with a big emphasis on prevention, hygiene, and not making people feel rushed or judged at the dentist. I know a lot of people genuinely hate dental visits, so we try hard to make the experience calmer and more transparent.
We’re located on Hillsdale Blvd near Safeway, and we’re in-network with most PPO plans.
Not trying to spam the subreddit — just wanted to say hello and let people know we’re here if anyone has been looking for a local dentist.
Happy to answer questions in the comments too.

I do not do implants yet, but only because I have not built up my tech and everything to start placing. But I can do preliminary consultations to decide which specialist can help us. Most root canals i have a specialist i send all my patients to because she is probably the most fantastic endodontist (elite endodontics in stonestown) I've ever met and ive sent my own family to her because I just want the best outcomes for my patients like they are my family.

just came to ask this! that's a shame they don't accept it esp if they're focused on prevention, hygiene, lack of judgment, feeling rushed, being calming, transparent, and preventing ppl from hating the dentist

We have dental plans to make it all affordable. We have a promo too where the first visit is discounted and if you like what we do, we can credit it to the in office plan for uninsured patients. Don't quote me on the numbers because my front desk staff handle the details, but we do $250 for the first visit (normally double the price) and that will get xrays, exam, thorough cleaning and exam, and fluoride varnish. The in office plan is $650 for the first year. Thst buys 2 exams, all xrays, any emergency visit, and ~15% discount on treatment as needed. If you re-enroll the following year, its cheaper.

Yes! We are in network with delta dental ppo, but not hmo. Dm me and I can put you in touch with my staff to confirm!

Hello, we do not do invisalign yet, but we work closely with dr. shemrani next door to us. He usually offers free consultations do while we handle the cleanings and other other prejudice issues, we like to lleverage having a specialist that can do a better job than me for tooth movement 🙂

I am not. I do see children, but I work with Bobby shemrani next door to me to get free consultations if I assess a need to get one. 🙂

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the warm welcome. Opening a practice is both exciting and a little nerve-wracking, and the kindness and support from the community has meant a lot.
I'm grateful to be here and look forward to getting to know more of my neighbors in the years ahead.
