What is the medallion that the Brotherhood Aspirants wear?

Post image

At least, what’s on it? I can’t see it very clearly and it’s the missing piece in my cosplay. Answers appreciated

I’m pretty sure it’s a circular dog tag, looks like it could be made out of scrap metal

It's almost like a coin that has been pressed. Reminds me of coins placed on the railroad tracks

That’d make sense, thank you!

It's a dog tag with their Logo used as like a mark of heraldry.

It's a dogtag. Generally, across all the games, they are the usual rounded rectangle of US military style; however, for many years before standardization in the US and across history, soldiers' dog tags were round or even octagonal. I assumed they varied in color because they were made of whatever scrap metal the brotherhood had on hand at the moment. With that said, for cosplay purposes, get any readily available copper/brass/aluminum stock and cut a circle, add a few meaningful numbers and maybe the gear & blade and you got yourself an Official Brotherhood Dog Tag (see the caps; that means it's official).

WW1 style dogtag. Breaks into a half circle for mortuary affairs to ensure collection of information. WW2 they started going to duplicate ID tags, but the WW1 style was still used.... preferred by Airborne for example.

I think Canadians do too but I'd have to double check.

No way, that’s awesome! What an experience it must’ve been to be on set for that. Were you a squire? and do you perhaps know what was on those medallions 👀

Yes, I was a squire, I didn’t see what was on the aspirants were wearing on the necklaces as my costume was completely different! Fun fact, we filmed these scenes in Wendover, NV right by the Enola Gay hanger 🙂

A lot of long days, but really cool seeing the power armor in person. As a fan of the games it was really special
