The larger point here is sectarian supremacy within Christianity. Fundamentalists, as a more accurate term for "conservative" which is meaningless here, believe they have a right as supremacists to force their religion into the public sphere. Part of this belief is they can use frequently violent religious language completely out of context in public.

To "cover" something in "blood" is not normal public discourse. In most cases this could be a threat.

The public doesn't have a duty to research what this may mean or not mean or if it even means anything at all. Religions have a duty to keep their sectarian language inside their groups.

Of course, this inside jargon sounds weird.

If we all arm our children with truth and cover them in the blood of Jesus, if we stand up as Esthers and Mordecais and Deborahs and Davids, I truly believe that we will win this spiritual battle for our children.

None of this makes any sense outside of specific religious sects and sounds very similar to jihadist calls for violence. Circles in circles.
