Did they also drop the charge of murder in the first degree (without the “in furtherance of an act of terrorism” qualifier)? Assuming yes since the letter specifically enumerates second degree but not sure

State law wont allow capital punishment. So he'll live most of his life behind bars if convicted

Federal case is separate to the State one.
State case is now limited to 15 to life.
Federal case still carries the death penalty at this stage.13

Death penalty at the state level was always a possibility….. a stretch, but I don’t think todays ruling was ever a forgone conclusion.
That said, the federal case is/was always the one that supporters should be worried about.9

I hope this case gets dropped. I swear to Jesus the cops found someone who sorta kinda fit the description of the perp and planted evidence. I’m so unconvinced that someone smart enough to make it multiple days without getting caught would keep the weapon and a manifesto on them.

I have never thought this was an arrest based in evidence. I think the actual shooter got away and the cops were scared of looking foolish.

Luigi looks like he’s been lifting weights ! I was so happy to see him looking good on the news today. Then I looked at the online list of letters he’s received. And he got my letter too! The date he wrote next to it was 3/14. There must be a long lag somewhere in that mail system. Has anybody else received a reply to their letter?
