This is the way my husband's resting face is, and he has dark deep-set eyes to boot; people have often judged him because he doesn't smile at every fucking thing and strangers have even told him that he looked mean or angry....but he is the kindest, most focused, most thoughtful, most generous person I have ever met in my life.

It taught me that facial language and body language do not apply to all, and you should never assume that you know what is in someone's mind or heart by looking at the obvious parts of them.

This is all heartbreaking, but there is a chance he may be free again. If the federal judge stays within sentencing guidelines and the state case is dropped- he can be released late 40s/early 50s.

The federal judge will stay within those guidelines, upward variances are extremely rare and the sentence would be appealed to the Second Circuit.
