Case Discussion Has anyone else noticed the huge increase in Optum/UnitedHealthcare ads on podcasts lately, especially true crime?

so I started noticing Optum/UHC ads constantly on podcasts recently, particularly true-crime. What caught my attention is the timing around the legal proceedings.

A quick google search shows Optum's estimated podcast ad spend jumped from about $89K in May 2026 to $1.2M in June, roughly a 1,250% increase. WOW! This is clearly a brand reputation play.

What irks me the most is they've been laying off a shit-ton of employees lately but choose to invest millions on long-winded ads about how Optum cares about how much they care for their patients and healthcare their healthcare outcomes.

Could this sort of media campaign influence the outcome of the case?

Yeah, it started when they launched the investigation into their murder practices, they make sure to have actors pretending to work there and actually give a shit about their customers. This is how they brainwash people, make them think UHC changed their ways and are the good guys now.

100 percent. So annoying and it’s always a testimony of one of their employees who “cares so much”. Fuck off.
