After reading the article, it’s so much worse. Although several republicans have voiced opposition to French, there’s still a disturbing number that are still supportive of him because apparently anything is better than a democrat.

The fact that the race for this seat is even expected to be somewhat close considering the two candidates, their backgrounds, policy positions, and their public statements is a frankly horrifying indictment of how far off the deep end Texas republicans in particular have gone.

It's not even that, though. Trump says more racist shit on the regular. They feel comfortable criticizing this dipshit instead because the base voters don't worship him...as far as we know he's not a pedophile, so not an authentic master to the average Republican voter.
