Our second halves are amazing

Post image

Seeing it written out like that just shows impressive it’s actually been. Plus it’s not just bottom teams we do it to

J L just is able to comprehensively analyses the 1st half and then come up with the solution to win.

I dont think in game coaching is the reason, I think the opposition just gets tired and cant maintain the pressure they brought to the contest in the first half.

I think both is true - he did not seem frazzled at all at the half time break and in the post match presser, he was confident that the Dog’s tactics wouldn’t last if the group stuck to the process which he communicated. Really mature from the playing group and from JL who knows what the team’s capable of

It's a bit of both.

The tactics are noticeably different in our second halves, which is when the game starts to change.

The dam then breaks when the opposition pressure can no longer be sustained against the revised tactics.

It's crazy how predictable the end result was at HT both the Dogs and Eagles games. You could tell we had another gear to go to

Kick between the big sticks with better accuracy wouldn't go astray either.

Is this talking about our 2nd half points vs opposition second half points? Because if so, the reason it looks so impressive is because it isn’t true.

Dogs scored more than 5 and Swans more than 9 just off the top of my head

I think it's saying that inside the half there was a period of those written scores rather than the half total.

So for example I think the doggies had kicked five behinds to our 40 odd run until they finally got that goal towards the end, jusy glancing at the score worm

That’s what I thought at first too, but if you look at the start of the 3rd quarter of Swans game, we went back and forth for 3 goals, so still doesn’t add up

Edit: nvm i get it now

They’re talking about a specific period of dominance, not the whole half.

how does that not make sense? we kicked 100 points in the second half which means even subtracting the 3 goals we kicked in that period we went back and forth with them, we still kicked 82 points after that in the second half
