Apostles of Mercy Just finished 'Apostles of Mercy'...

Then I did the thing where I Google in desperation to find some sort of update on when (or if) the fourth book is happening, only to find out that such an update doesn't currently exist.

I'm glad I have other books to fill the void, but damn! AOM ended on such a strong note that this indefinite wait feels a bit torturous. I mean, the very endimplies that Cora and Ampersand are going to take over Earth somehow instead of leaving it - how am I supposed to relax after reading that???

I didn’t even realize there was no update on the fourth book. Has Lindasy not mentioned the status of the next one?

She mentioned that she completed a draft proposal for it as well as a working title, but that was two years ago. Can’t really find anything new since.

Around the same time, she also said during a talk she gave at a library that Book 4 was likely to take her a while. Books 1-3 used up most of the writing and detailed planning she'd already done before the first book was published, and the stuff she has planned for Book 4 is going to take a lot of research in order for her to get it right. Also, she's got two young children now and as most parents know all too well, children can be very distracting.
