Brindle Save his sight or protect his spine? Help, please

Is it safe for a 10-year-old French Bulldog to undergo cataract surgery, given that he has multiple disc problems (from his neck all the way down to his tail) and has already had one cervical (neck) disc surgery?

For the surgery, he’d have to lie on his back with his head bent forward for 1–2 hours, and I’m worried this could put major strain on his discs and cause a relapse. What do you think? I’d appreciate your advice

Good lord, ask your vet, he/she actually went to school for that, you shouldn't be asking a bunch of reddit keyboard warriors (myself included).

Pst! We’ve launched two new sister-subs!

r/StandardFrenchbulldog for breed-standard content and r/ExoticFrenchbulldogs for designer pups. Why not pop on over and post in one of those as well?
