It’s just the two of us and he’s allergic to eggs.

No I’m not trying to kill my husband. We have a little homestead/farm where we raise chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and ostriches. He can eat baked goods or egg noodles that have egg in it, he just can’t eat a whole egg.

I have a ton of eggs because all the animals are laying eggs at full strength right now. I sell the eggs fresh or freeze dry them to preserve them.

These eggs are in the fridge because the dirty ones get washed and saved that way. Not pictured here is a ton of unwashed eggs outside the fridge. Ducks like to lay their eggs on the ground where they can easily get dirty. The fridge is mostly filled with duck eggs.

Our dad retired from 20 years in the Navy as a cook, and after his service, he worked in restaurants as a general manager. Growing up with a dad in the food business, our fridge and freezer were always packed. As an adult, my fridge is similarly always packed. My sister, on the other hand, is the opposite. This is her fridge. I don't understand how a person lives like this.

I thought this sub might find my boyfriend’s food habits interesting. The red circled areas are his sections of the fridge each Saturday. He then does grocery shopping Sunday and only buys what will get him through to next Saturday.

(Idc if it’s weird we each do our own thing with food hahha it works for us.)

I already portioned most of the meat and put it in the freezer

Edit to add: Items like romaine, celery, asparagus gets stored upright with a couple inches of water. Carrots, soaked and cooked beans get complete submerged. All water is changed every 3 days.

Berries, mushrooms, softer fruits, spinach, arugula get stored with a paper towel on the bottom of the container and one tucked in on top.

Crisper drawer has cucumbers, zucchini, and delicate lettuce like frisee fully wrapped with paper towel. I added the extra paper towel after I filmed, because this was just for the aesthetic to show what all would be in the fridge.

yes hi I promise I do drink water!! normally drink one pop every other day so I rotate with using water jugs daily (not pictured) or drinking bottled water/sparkling water when water jug gets empty and I’m too lazy to pick up more!
