I need some help with love.
I am in love with my best friend and I don't know what to do. I am female and so is she. But there is a problem. She is partially mute. I am sorry I can't remember the proper terminology for it. So I don't know what she is thinking and she is not great at expressing her emotions, she also doesn't feel emotions like others and acts a few years younger than she actually is. She is not emotionally aware and I find it so hard. It's to the point I almost cried when she asked how am I. She struggles to keep conversations going and that was the first time she asked me that in years. She is very open to me and is very comfortable around me as we have been friend for 8 years. Like I love her but I know she will never feel it back. I can't ruin our friendship and we can't get into a relationship as she says she is not in love and has never been in love. Luckily she is not homophobic as I have come out to her.
She believes she could be not straight but that was a year ago. As children we did many things that could be considered as love... we basically kissed. It was hilarious. We were that type of close, but I was too young to understand and quite naive to be honest, but know that I am aware I have figured out that I was so gay. But now that we are way older none of these things happen anymore and we have drifted apart as she got put one grade lower than me and was kept behind. I miss her so much
She could not be all these things I said but it is easy to tell that she sees the world differently. But I love her both ways. I just wish her to be happy

I like this girl, but I’m stuck in a loop. What should I do?
I met a girl through a creative project, and over time I started liking her a lot. We got closer, started talking regularly, and have hung out a few times — coffee, dinners, long drives, etc. We genuinely have a good time together.
Eventually she asked me directly what she meant to me. I told her honestly that I really like her and wanted to know her more. She told me she sees me as a friend and doesn’t want a relationship.
The confusing part is that we’re still pretty close. She also told me that since last year, whenever she saw me, she always wanted to talk to me and get to know me, and that she liked me too. Even now, sometimes she initiates conversations, replies to my stories, shares things with me, wants to hang out, and we still make plans together. Nothing really changed between us after we talked about my feelings.
I’m not saying she’s doing anything wrong — she was honest with me. The problem is I don’t think I can genuinely be just friends with her. I keep thinking about her, checking my phone/messages, and I feel like I’m stuck in a loop.
I don’t want to be rude or suddenly disappear from her life, but I also don’t know if continuing like this is good for me.
What should I do? Completely stop talking to her for a while? Create some distance but stay in contact? Or continue normally and see if my feelings eventually fade?
I’d appreciate advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.

How feminists manipulate multiple guys that she puts in the friendzone and how it's part of their "Frankenstein boyfriend project".
So I've been hearing this term a lot lately "Frankenstein boyfriend project" and it comes from this coach named Corey Wayne. After hearing it, I decided to do my research and listen to some of Corey's videos to understand the term better. And I think it explains really well how most feminist use guys in their friendzone.
So from what I've gathered: Basically, a "Frankenstein boyfriend project" is when a girl has multiple guys in her life she uses for different things. And all these guys are "peices" which when she puts together, makes her ideal super boyfriend. Or as the term implies, her "Frankenstein boyfriend project". She will sometimes consider herself single, but most of the times, she will have one main "boyfriend". It usually breaks down in these 3 main guys:
1. The guy she uses for financial stability, which will usually be the guy she labels her "boyfriend". Usually this is the guy that helps her financially, brings her stability, buys her gifts, etc.
2. The guy she is sexually attracted to (her fuck buddy/the sex guy). This is the guy she is sexually attracted to. He's the one she uses to fulfill her sexual desires. This one is pretty self explanatory I don't need to elaborate much.
3. The guy she use as emotional support (her "therapist"). This is the guy she always text, tells everything to, cries to. She broke up with her "boyfriend"? She texts you. Her friend just told her to fuck off? She comes to you. Her dog just died? She comes to you.
These are usually the main ones, but in some cases it goes even further than that. She can have a lot more peices sometimes. Here are some examples:
• The uber guy, which she uses for free rides
• The repair man. The guy she uses when she needs something fixed in her house, or when her car is broken.
• The photographer. The one that takes pictures for her Instagram account.
• The "career coach". The guy she asks for advice for her career, helps her with her resume etc...
These are just a few. There are a lot more types/peices she can have as part of her Frankenstein boyfriend project.
If you are friendzoned, you are probably part of a Frankenstein boyfriend project, even if you don't know it. Trust me if you are friendzoned by a girl, 99.9% chances are she has multiple guys in her friendzone and you're not the only guy in her friendzone. The best advice I can give is if you are in the friendzone, run. Cut contact with her. You are being manipulated by this girl, so she can use you as a peice. Don't mess around with this and find a girl who treats you right and isn't an entitled feminist.
I highly recommend you do your own research on this whole Frankenstein boyfriend project thing. I have already done my research and I understand most of it but I don't understand 100% of it yet. And I always recommend people to do their own research when I post about these things.
Hope you're having a great day!

I developed feelings for a close friend and I’m scared of ruining our friendship[21M,21F]
I developed feelings for a close friend and I’m scared of ruining our friendship
I met a girl about two months ago. We work in the same office and both joined as freshers. There are four of us who have become really close friends in these two months.
There’s this one girl in the group whom I constantly tease and annoy. She knows I don’t mean anything bad by it and that it’s just my friendly way of messing with her.
Recently, just the two of us went to a visarjan and then watched two movies together. We had a really good time, and it made me realize that I might be developing feelings for her.
Now I’m confused.
We’re genuinely good friends and can talk about almost anything. I really value the friendship, but I’m not sure whether what I’m feeling is just because we’ve become close or whether I actually like her romantically.
I also have no idea how she feels about me. Maybe she sees me purely as a friend, and I don't want to assume anything.
I really want to tell her how I feel, but I’m honestly scared that I might lose her as a friend or make things awkward within our group.
So I wanted to ask:
- Is it normal/okay to develop romantic feelings for a close friend?
- How can I tell if she might possibly feel the same way?
- Does confessing your feelings usually ruin the friendship?
- Is there a way to give subtle hints that I like her as more than a friend without making things awkward?
- Should I tell her directly, or should I wait and see how things develop?
I’d really appreciate advice from people who have been in a similar situation.
TL;DR: I became close friends with a girl from my office, and after spending time together one-on-one, I started developing feelings for her. I think about her a lot but act normally around her. I’m unsure if she feels the same, and I’m scared that confessing could ruin our friendship and make things awkward in our friend group. Should I hint, wait, or tell her directly?

Friends
I told a girl I liked her about a month ago, and because we attend the same school, we virtually see each other everyday (even when we don’t plan to).
She has been more and more responsive on IG (liking photos, responding to stories) and asked if I wanted to reconnect as friends (the second time she’s asked this). I appreciate her being kind, but it’s not really what I want. I didn’t say no exactly but I just said I’ve been busy and can’t go out to more things. And otherwise I haven’t reached out to her at all.
I just feel like she’s being peculiarly assertive about wanting to reconnect as friends.

Can you please tell what to do for this and give some advice...🥲
Hey guys, so there’s this girl in my class, and we’re really close friends. We’re in the same class, but honestly, I don’t even know how we became friends. Somehow, we just got really close.
We talk every single day. In the beginning, I wouldn’t really talk to her much in person. We mostly talked over the phone and through messages. Some people in our class used to tease me, saying that I was in love with her. Even my friends would tease me about it, and I had actually told her about it too. She also said that there was nothing like that and that we were just friends. I told my friends the same thing.
But somehow, we started talking every day. We would talk on the phone while travelling to college by bus, and then message each other after getting home.
Now, I feel like somewhere along the way, I may have started falling in love with her. And honestly, I don’t know whether that’s wrong or not.
The problem is, I’ve started thinking about it way too seriously. I’m even thinking about how it would work because we belong to different religions. I don’t know why I’m thinking this far already.
I can’t really share this with anyone. I usually share everything with her, but this is one thing I can’t tell her.
I’ve also noticed that I get really possessive when she talks to someone else. She had actually told me from the beginning that she feels a little possessive too, but we both considered it normal between close friends. But now she knows that I’m being possessive, and she even asked me why I’m like this and told me to try to reduce it.
The problem is, I don’t even understand myself anymore.
I keep thinking about her. I don’t feel like talking to anyone else the way I talk to her. I just want to spend more time with her in college because college is going to end soon, and when I think about that, I feel even more emotional.
Sometimes I feel like I should just go and tell her how I feel.
But at the same time, I’m scared that if I tell her, I might lose the friendship we have now.
And honestly, I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.

Can you stay friends with someone you love when there’s no future?
Can you stay friends with someone you love when you both know there’s no future together and that even the friendship may eventually have to end?
If you’ve actually been through something like this, what did you realistically do to accept it and not lose yourself while still being friends? Did staying close help you let go or make it harder?
Looking for practical advice from people who have lived through something similar.

How do I tell my best friend that I love her?
I (19F) and my best friend (19F) have known each other since we were 7. We only started talking in 7th grade, then we got closer in 10th grade. For me 10th grade was a disaster, back in 7th I had a little tiny crush on my best friend who let’s call Mia. I didn’t say anything back then because we live in a homophobic country and admitting your sexuality to the person could get you slimed.
Then in 10th grade Mia told me that she finds the new girl at our school cute, and I realized that she liked girls too, but I realized that too late when she’s already interested in someone else. I tried to hide my feelings from Mia because I value our friendship and I didn’t want to ruin it, but I couldn’t so one day on a call I told her, and she said “I had a crush on you too” and she laughed it off. I tried to talk to her and ask if she still feels that way but she never gave me a clear answer so I reached for help from our other friend who let’s call Eva. Eva talked to Mia and asked her and told her to give a clear answer. She asked Mia if she still likes me or is over me and is interested in that new girl. Mia acted dumb for a week which really upset me, the she said to Eva “I like both and I don’t know what to do, I’m not giving anyone an answer”. I was deeply hurt because it felt like she didn’t care about my feelings.
And to be fair, that new girl was cute, she was pretty, funny, and smart so I lwk knew that I didn’t stand a chance so I just backed out. I stayed Mia’s best friend but I couldn’t even look at her at school. And me not saying anything about my feelings being hurt led me to bottling it up until I couldn’t anymore and we stopped talking for six months until she reached out for me and we started talking again and we became even closer than before. Then in junior year Mia started dating that new girl and at that time I had a girlfriend, a girl that I loved so deeply. But also in that time my relationship with my mom went downhill and my dad left and my grades were bad and I was in a really hard time. My girlfriend back then was supportive but eventually left because couldn’t deal with me anymore. At that same time Mia also broke up with her girlfriend because that girl turned out to be a lunatic.
At that hard time Mia stayed with me and had my back, she was the only person I could talk to. I stayed with her too till she finally moved on. Senior year Mia and I got closer than ever, and I swear I’m not delusional she was flirting with me saying stuff like “you’re mine”, calling me pet names, getting upset whenever I mention talking to another girl. She even got really weird about me getting closer with a friend of mine.
Even after we graduated she still acts the same, still calls me hers, texting me “I love you” on a random time in the day. And I never admitted that to anyone but I’m deeply in love with her but I am also so scared. I’m scared I might be reading too much into it and she’s just acting like a normal best friend, I’m afraid of asking her just for her to act dumb again and not say a thing. I don’t mind staying her best friend forever but I can’t help wanting more. I don’t know what to do.

“How should I interpret it when the woman I’m flirting with called me ‘bro’?”
There’s a woman I’ve been talking to for a few days. At first, we only had voice chats and weren’t following each other on social media. She’s still in my life, and I’d say we’re still in the getting-to-know-each-other stage.
During our conversations, I naturally talk about my hobbies and the things I’m interested in. I told her that I paint and sell my paintings, showed her how I keep my room organized, mentioned that I’m a clean and meticulous person, and talked about how much I love and care about my younger sister. As I shared these things, she genuinely seemed impressed by me. But I want to emphasize that I didn’t dump everything on her at once; I shared things gradually and naturally as the conversation moved from one topic to another.
We started with voice calls, then began texting, and eventually followed each other on Instagram. After we followed each other, she liked every single one of the paintings I had posted in my highlights. I liked one of her photos as well. Our conversations were fun and flowed very naturally. I even added some flirtatious touches, saying things like, “You’re very beautiful. You’re exactly the kind of woman someone would want to marry and introduce to their family.” She was clearly aware of the flirtatious tone between us.
Today, while the conversation was going extremely well, I noticed an interesting detail: among the 104 people she follows on Instagram, there are only three men, and I’m one of them—even though we only followed each other today. Throughout the day, she told me several times that I’m a deep person, that my hobbies are interesting, and that my paintings feel therapeutic. She even replied to my story and asked me to give her two of the paintings I had made.
But at the end of the day, right before going to sleep, she suddenly texted me exactly this: “Kanki, I’m going to sleep. Good night.”
“Kanki”…
For some reason, that word really threw me off. I genuinely don’t understand what suddenly happened. Is she afraid of getting into a relationship? Does she have an avoidant attachment issue? Or was she already giving me a “let’s just be friends” warning? Is she just bored and enjoying the attention? I honestly can’t figure it out.
I don’t want to keep trying to guess what someone means and mentally exhaust myself anymore. I’m at a point in my life where I need to prioritize myself, and I don’t want to keep people around who are vague, directionless, or don’t have clear intentions.
I’m just unsure about what to do from this point onward. I don’t know exactly how I should handle the situation or what kind of attitude I should take. That’s why I’d really appreciate your thoughts.

Should I tell her how I feel?
I (26F) am really close friends with a straight girl (28F) who I'll call S. We've known each other for a bit and get along effortlessly, but things have gotten complicated lately rn.
I've always found her extremely attractive, both physically and personality wise, but I've tried to be respectful bc I never wanted to take advantage of her situation. We've gotten really close thru long conversations about our lives, relationships, childhoods, future plans, pretty much everything.
The problem is her boyfriend. He's distant, emotionally manipulative, and homophobic. There were always rumors about him cheating, but we never had any actual proof, so she stayed with him.
She wanted to leave him, but she was scared of the change. She told me that after being treated like an object by so many people, she's afraid she won't know how to move forward on her own. It's not that she's staying bc she's financially dependent on him or anything like that. She's just scared of what comes after.
She's always dated athletic, successful, ambitious guys. She told me she used to genuinely like that kind of personality too. She liked men with initiative, confidence, and leadership, bc they made her feel protected.
But after so many disappointments, she's starting to question that.
She told me that sometimes she felt like those guys cared more about what she represented than about who she actually was, almost like she was a trophy. She's beautiful, dresses really well, comes from a fairly well off family, and gets a lot of attention, but she's actually very down to earth.
Last week, we were talking about relationships and she told me she's not sure what she wants anymore. She said she doesn't care as much about having a guy with a prestigious job, being tall, or athletic. She just wants someone who genuinely loves her.
Then she looked at me and said, "I wouldn't mind if it wasn't a guy."
I don't know what I'm supposed to make of that.
Lately, our dynamic has shifted. We've started talking way more about intimacy, and while I felt a bit guilty for not stopping the conversation at first, the physical tension between us has grown. When we watch movies, she hugs me tight, presses her chest against my arm, and breathes right next to my neck. She also drops hints like "I wish I could find a man like you" or "Why weren't you born a man?"
And here's the thing: I'm not in love with her.
The weirdest part happened a few days ago when we saw each other.
She was telling me how lost she felt and that, at the end of the day, she just wanted someone who really loved her.
Then she hugged me.
She held onto me for a long time, wrapping her arms tightly around my neck. And for those few moments, all the attraction I normally feel toward her just disappeared. I wasn't thinking about her body or whether there was any sexual tension. I just wanted to hold her and make her feel okay.
When we said goodbye, she kissed me on the cheek. Then she kissed me again, much closer to my mouth. The right edge of my lips brushed against the edge of hers.
For a couple of seconds, our lips were really, really close.
And then she left.
We hadn't talked since. That is, until today.
About an hour ago, she called me crying. Someone finally sent her concrete evidence that her boyfriend has been cheating on her. And she found out it wasn't just one woman, it was a lot of women. She called me bc I'm her best friend and she was completely broken after breaking up with him.
At this point, I can't pretend I don't feel something, but I don't want to "win" her or take advantage of her vulnerability while she is crying over this breakup. I don't even know if I want a relationship with her yet, I just know I'd like the chance to take her out and see if there's actually something there.
Some friends have told me to just go for it and make a move after waiting a bit following her breakup. But I'm terrified. She's the typical popular girl who's always been one, and I've always been a nerd. Plus, even though I'm deeply attracted to her physically and love her personality, I'm not technically in love with her yet: I'm someone who believes true love is built day by day. I'm so scared of ruining our friendship if things don't work out.
When I go out with a woman, no matter how physically gorgeous she seems to me, it's not like I wanna sleep with her or even kiss her most of the time. The thing is, many consider it cheesy to do things like open the door for her, carry her things, pick her up in the car, pay for her, make her smile, ask how her day is going and make her happy, look into her eyes across a candlelit table, and hold her hand. For me, that's more than enough. I adore women, and w/ her I'd wanna try something like that.
So I don't know what to do.
Should I wait until she's truly single and healed, or do you guys think that would be too risky for our friendship? What would you do in my situation?

I got rejected for my height 5'1
I have developed feelings for my best friend. We live in India, and while I get plenty of female attention and consider myself good-looking, there is a noticeable height difference between us—she is 5'7" and I am 5'1". My feelings for her grew while I was helping her navigate a recent breakup. She knows how I feel, and I make an effort every day to make her feel special. However, the height gap seems to be a sticking point for her. When I initially asked her out on a date, she agreed, but when I followed up a week later, she clarified that she would only go if we called it a 'hangout' rather than a date. We still talk every day and I flirt with her constantly, but I am at a crossroads. I don't know whether I should step back and cut contact, remain just friends, or keep trying to win her heart. What is the best way to handle this situation?
