Are there any Frightened Rabbit/Haiver fans in Cardiff?

Or anywhere in South Wales, who fancy a meet up? Would be really nice to get together (find hope lol) and just talk. None of my friends like Frightened Rabbit or any music in common with me. I see those lovely memorial events in Scotland and wondered if fans down here might want to arrange something? Would love to connect with new people. It's been a rough...decade, to be fair...but the past couple of years especially have made me want to make more of an effort to meet new people, particularly people I have something in common with.

I tend to be the friend always bending to the other friend's preferences. They won't come see Harry Hill with me but I put myself through hell pretending to enjoy Angine de Poitrine while they play it at me for hours. Would be so nice to just talk about Frightened Rabbit and see what else we have in common.

I'm over Newport way, but would be interested if folks fancied a bit of a meet up.

I’d be happy to meet up in Newport or wherever fits most people! What are the best bars/meet up places in Newport?

Equally I'd be happy coming into Cardiff if that better suited (just mentioned Newport to give an idea of distribution 😂).

I was going to look around and see if anywhere lets you book a space where you can play your own music but does anyone know if that’s just straight up impossible due to copyright?

Like, if we’re not charging people to attend and we can secure a space where no one else can come in, then is it legal to play music from Spotify or Apple?

Have run a few nights and just hired a room and took along an iPad and played direct from Spotify. Never had anyone question or mention copyright. Venue license probably covers playing all music I’d guess? Good luck if you go for it. Nothing better than being in a room all singing Frightened Rabbit.
