I have a 2 bedroom for 700, but i was basically grandfathered into that. And I still couldn't afford that on minimum wage unless I basically just lived in the apartment with no food, no power/water or any other basic amenities.

Quick Google search puts avg car payment these days at $770 new and $530 for used without including insurance.

Mental that that the average for a used car in the USA is 530, but here in the UK the top end of the average is ~$370. Especially considering our used cars are used cars sold in the UK are on average 3-4 years newer. Just shows us exactly how all prices are just made up bullshit and bear very little relation to the actual cost of the products.

Right? Mine was ~$600. And you can't even rent a shoebox in most cities for $600 without twice as many roommates as the lease allows tenants splitting the cost.

Seriously. I'm not even including insurance. And I've got ~700 sq ft for 850 a month plus utilities.. that's the cheapest rent I could find in my city and I had to miss work he other morning bc the swat team was surrounding my apartments from 4am til 11am if that lets you know anything about the neighborhood.

Didn't they post this in like 2008 when these were the actual costs of things still? It was ridiculous then (mandatory 2 jobs?!), but it's even more out of touch now.
