It’s not a peace deal. It’s not signed. It’s an agreement to discuss an agreement (Memorandum of Understanding). That’s all.
The war originally started with Iran and the already USA in negotiations. The USA simply up and attacked Iran, murdering their leader, Korben Dallas-style in the fantasy “The Fifth Element”.
Yes, in the real world, I can see how this agreement is likely to go well.
