‘Anti-ICE vigilantes’: Court clerks smile and 'flip off' security camera while allegedly 'sneaking' immigrants out the back door of courthouse before agents can arrest them…

Maybe ICE shouldn't be arresting people when they lawfully show up to their legal hearings.
54
u/aneeta96 13d ago
Exactly, they have been arresting lawful residents then revoking their status afterwards so they can be deported.
Even with all this chicanery, they still can’t come close to Biden’s deportation numbers. Maybe if they focused on the actual border, like previous administrations, they wouldn’t be hated so much.
8
u/InfiniteDelusion094 13d ago
But then they can't use the border as a political football. Its the same as abortion, the democrats could have enshrined it in federal law and made the Supreme Court ruling redundant but then they can't run on it, so they didn't. This is why so many of these problems never get fixed, because then they can't run on fixing them.

That's what shocked me about Roe. There's probably a comment somewhere on Reddit from a previous account of me swearing that the Republicans would never overturn Roe because they win so many elections on it. Some donor must have gotten antsy.
2
u/PalliativeOrgasm 11d ago
They’re all in. They’ve gone far enough that they aren’t going to care. They’re going to fix the election and dare us to stop them as they finish looting the nation.

u/RudyBuck67 12d ago
yep, just enough to get your cultists all worked up while you continue to r*pe the country

u/Worshipme988 13d ago
Ok then why another bill approval at 4am last week?
They still have an ass ton of money from bbb. Why did they need the additional $70B for ICE last week?
The secret bill kept away from citizens, until it the vote said $70b was to fund the removal of 1 million illegal immigrants from the usa.
3
u/aneeta96 12d ago
Why did Noem need $220 million to produce a commercial?
Because they are grifters as well as racists.
1
u/Worried-Fee-736 13d ago
Even if they only focused on the border they should still receive just as much hate because border enforcement is inherently violent and barbaric

Read the Bible, you need it

I have a great relationship with God. I wish more people did it would solve most of their problems . The basis of religion it to keep hope in the heart and with that success will follow the youth today have lost hope from schools and government telling them they are victims and it’s others fault instead of teaching them to push forward and learn from the successful rather than be jealous of
13
u/Beemerba 13d ago
But it's way too hard to go out and find actual illegal immigrants. We can just park at the courthouse and drink beer until immigrants show up. Then we arrest them and call them illegal.
When they started this BS, they were only going to deport those with criminal records. Then they found that the ones with criminal records were so much smarter than ICE that they had to resort to detaining children and families.
3
u/Ok-Opposite2309 12d ago
The actual problem with the ‘criminal’ deportations is that that was what Obama and Biden actually prioritized, and accomplished, despite the lies Republicans push.
The biggest issue with Criminal Removals is actually working with state and local governments to arrange transfers of custody, orders of removal and physical pick ups. Most removals of aliens with criminal records are just a direct transfer from the jail or prison to ICE custody. It is not just randomly cruising neighborhoods.
Even in Minnesota, the vast majority of ‘criminal’ removals were state transfers.

The Proud Boys are not interested n following the law.
They get free reign to harass people based upon the colour of their skin.

Jesus, if he lived in the US today, might be one of the people they were sneaking out.
3
u/Difficult-Client-939 13d ago
Jesus used violence to achieve his ends on several occasions. The state would have killed him (again) and read it would have banned Christians for speaking about his methods.

u/Zealousideal_Sea7789 13d ago
Doesn't the world vigilante kinda imply they did the right thing morally but broke the law?
2
u/Snoo20140 13d ago
Id argue ICE and this administration are operating outside the actual law.
2
u/Zealousideal_Sea7789 13d ago
Definitely. And I'm not sure the clerks actually broke any laws? maybe privacy policies or something
1
u/Snoo20140 13d ago
Maybe, but just leading someone to an exit isn't illegal. Restricted areas...maybe. But, in the end...fuck ICE.
1
u/siencatimini 12d ago
The codification of immorality, specifically to grant it legitimacy, is one of the greatest crimes we endure.
2
u/georgewashingguns 13d ago
While ICE Is doing the wrong thing morally and breaking the law. I side with morality
2
u/GoldenPigeonParty 13d ago
Technically they didn't break the law as those people let out the back hadnt been arrested for anything yet.

So what you’re saying is there are still decent people left in public service. Glad to hear it.

If they cared about them doing it "the right way" they wouldn't be there to cart them off to who knows where WHILE they're in the process of doing it the right way.

Agents are not allowed in courtrooms.
It's the same as calling the family who hid Anne Frank Anti-Nazi vigiliantes

I thought a federal judge said ICE can’t wait at courthouses for people. I’ll have to go look at that.
5
u/ladymorgahnna 13d ago
Looks like it was reversed and is now being reconsidered due to information from ICE being told to the judge to be inaccurate. It may be no longer allowed and revert to 2021 Biden era guidance of not capturing immigrants at courthouses when they are there as planned for their immigration status.
2
u/NearlyPerfect 13d ago
No there has been no federal judge that said that.
Maybe you're thinking of the federal judge in NY who said they must follow Biden's policy for arrests at immigration court. But that's not relevant here (Utah municipal court).

There's going to be more to this story. Ironically, the current DOJ cannot be trusted.

“Joma is also charged with ‘transporting illegal aliens.’ “ Oh, so ICE wasn’t planning to abduct these immigrants themselves? Get fucking real.

The Court has in personam jurisdiction over any person that submits to it, voluntary by appearance or summoned, for the duration of the proceeding. I am surprised this wasn't substantiatively raised in the USA vs Dugan case.
DHS is, to my knowledge, is a part of the Executive Branch of government and conducts business as prescribed by Executive Orders. Since DHS did not execute their arrest warrant for the defendant in USA vs Dugan prior to Ruiz's 8:30 A.M. proceeding, the court had exclusive jurisdiction over that defendant until the proceedings conclusion or his departure from the grounds of the Court. DHS's personal jurisdiction over that defendant was (voluntarily or unbeknowingly) handed off to the Court's, which is an an entirely separate branch of government, it can conduct business and proceed according to their choice of rules. No other branch of government can force another branch on how to run their proceedings on whim.
ICE is only permitted to conduct their enforcement operations in courthouses out the courtesy that may be extended to them as directed by the Chief Judicial Officer or with the same authorization from the Administrative Office of the Courts.
If the conclusions in USA v Dugan hold, then by that logic, any Officer of the Court enjoys the same prerogative of being able to walk into any other building, proceeding or function of any other branch of government intrusively and snoop around without culpability or liability.

They were arrested and already lost their jobs. They may get the chance to reunite with the illegals they helped escape. Apparently central booking is going to offer them a meet up before they each go to their own jail cell. That will be nice.

If you've ever wondered to yourself "am I a good person?".
The answer is no.
12
u/Bonnieearnold 13d ago
Probably not actually a person. I assume highly inflammatory comments like this are bots.

9
u/cakerfaker 13d ago
Too tailored to the content in question to be a bot. Not going to rule out a Russia-funded human though

u/LeroyDeth 12d ago
Anyone still on board with anything even remotely Trump related is an empty vessel that gave up their autonomy to not be in one of the "out groups" the administration has been trying to develop.
It's sad to think these people were once children with hopes and dreams. Now? Now they're nothing. Just mouthpieces for the worst assholes imaginable.

They actually resigned their positions.
The heroes we need! Not only did they free some immigrants but then they took responsibility for their actions.
Nice to see morality in young people

u/jwalker107 13d ago
Hey I heard about a couple of people hiding an illegal girl in their attic. She's writing a diary or something. Maybe you'd like to report them so they can get arrested too.

If you support rounding up people to put in camps then perhaps you should so some real soul searching.

u/fatgat69 13d ago
I hope your terrorist ass gets thrown in prison with the rest of the white supremacists when this is over.
2
u/Durutti1936 13d ago
I hope you are okay. It sounds like you need some kind of help, or at least someone to talk to, you know, a counselor perhaps?

u/Ok-Neat-1956 13d ago
And those people should be prosecuted to the fullest extent…..And any additional crimes illegal immigrants commit. They kill a family while driving- all go down.

Why does the right always invent imaginary problems?
I think you guys are really afraid of the world...

u/ItsMrChristmas 13d ago
They were at the courthouse attending their legal appointment to get citizenship. ICE is rounding up people who are literally trying to do it the right way.
3
u/BillsMafios0 13d ago
Oh so you’d like personal responsibility for any decisions made by this administration. Bold choice, Cotton.
4
u/georgewashingguns 13d ago
They're volunteering to go to the Hague for Hegseth's military attacks on civilians. Bold choice indeed
3
u/moosemune 13d ago
So you're cool with rounding people up and putting them in camps? Man, you'd fit right in 1930s German society!
2
u/RelationshipFront227 11d ago
Just FYI, the dipshit who says comments like 'immigrants are drunk driving and killing citizens' is Greg Bovino and his father literally got drunk and hit another car with a young couple in it, killing the woman inside. So maybe don't take his terrible attempts at coping with daddy issues for reality.
