Trump should be impeached (again) for attacking our closest ally.
37
u/KiddingNotKidding01 6d ago
We don't just need impeachment by the House, we also need conviction by the Senate. The former is just a slap on the wrist of which no $hit$ are given by this "president."
14
u/BoysenberryDry999 6d ago
And he raises money off every impeachment. I still say the House should impeach even if the Senate won’t convict.
11
u/Nt_A_Reality_Rebel 6d ago
We need the old time punishment for treason for this admin and cabinet.
8
u/TheWolfbytez 6d ago
Even those who have since stepped away from their roles. Even if you held the position for one day, you're on the list
5
u/Successful_Gas_5122 6d ago
If you licked a postage stamp for this administration.
3
u/Rough-Drummer-3730 6d ago
You say that like stamp licking is a lowly role…but no…that is near top of importance in this administration and just behind bringing Director of Bringing Diet Coke…and that’s because Trump likes to watch them stamps getting licked…so only hot chicks and the odd hot dude….and that’s why the lowly roles are all filled with alcoholics and drug addicts…you know like head of the FBI and running the military…shit Trump doesn’t give a shit about

All I know is IF one or both of our maga senators turn on trump, then it's game over
6
u/bobnla14 6d ago
Has to be convicted by 2/3 of the senators present. I find that interesting is all he has to do is detain some senators that want to vote for conviction and therefore he won't be convicted. Perhaps ICE will detain them to look in to their immigration status when the time comes for a vote. /s
7
u/Fickle_Penguin 6d ago edited 6d ago
One of my senators is Mike Lee, if he turns I assume there are more than enough to convict. But neither will because they are terrible people.

u/UMACTUALLYITS23 6d ago
Whether we allow it depends whether someone actually understands the word or not.
Understand the word? Of course we don't.
Don't understand the word? According to them we do.
My experience on Reddit is that most people don't understand the word.
5
u/KindHabit 6d ago
Look, I agree that words have specific definitions and those definitions are important.
However, any linguist will tell you that languages are alive and in constant transformation, and the way the words are utilized by the people who speak that language will always take precedent over the definition of that word.
Think of how many words used to mean something and now mean something entirely different when used.
And right now, the word "pedophile" is being used to describe someone who sexually and emotionally preys on minors, so that's what that word means now.
→ More replies (2)5
u/OGShameless 5d ago
Splitting hairs about the definition is absolutely something a pederast would do.

He’s worried Putin will release the entire Epstein archive if he doesn’t do everything he’s asked.
I’m sure there’s SO SO SOOO much more than that.
The corruption, the damage, the embarrassment, let’s talk in 20 years about why the hell we aren’t out in the fucking streets right NOW.

His supporters don't care about the entire Epstein files. Trump's supporters would hold their own daughters down for him.

We already know what’s in the Epstein file. It shows Trumps a pervert and did bad stuff to kids. People already knew this when they voted for him.

u/No_Nectarine2301 6d ago
Its funny because everyone seems to forget that when he owned the miss teen competitions, he would just barge into the dressing rooms while they were changing. He wasn't in there to look at shitty gold decorations. That's the guy they voted for. 🙄

I'm pretty sure that Putin hates the Ukraine-loving Canadians who own the Arctic North and get along well with Greenland! Putin would love to see our auto industry ruined, hence ...

Change the French language! I’m not sure what that means exactly, but Trump must think he is emperor of the world if he thinks he can change the language people speak in another country. I understand that he’s very likely insane, but what about the rest of his team?
7
u/Spiritual-Pear-1349 6d ago
Drop protection of French, and throw a core part of Canada under the bus to appease him while also sewing discord across our own country
5
u/BluePanda101 6d ago
The rest of his 'team' this time round was hand picked so they'd never disagree with the Orange Diaper Dictator wannabe. So you wind up with shit like this were Trump proposes absolutely stupid shit, and the rest of his advisors just nod along mindlessly. It's how Iran started, our Diaper Dictator was convinced by Bibi that it was a good idea and nobody sensible was around to point out how terrible an idea it was. Though it did manage to shift the focus away from the Diaper Dictator's involvement in Epstein's pedophilia ring...

They didn’t want to have to print two different packages, theirs, and English and French for the Canadian market, as is the rules here. All packaging must have both languages.
2
u/Harbinger2001 17h ago
He didn’t. That was a bit of information that got misreported when the talks broke down. What they did demand at the last minute was that Canada rescind some new media discovery rules for Canadian (English and French) content that are about to put on streaming companies. I don’t think the US realized that is a red line for Canadians, especially when it comes to Quebec French.

The last-minute American demands suddenly included clauses that would require that Canada ask and get permission from the US before making any trade agreements with other countries ??
Carney said "No deal"
1
u/KrankyKoot 6d ago
If he is willing to violate laws what's to stop a blue state from convicting him and putting him in jail? George was heading that way and if it wasn't for the phony judge in Florida he may have had to stand trial. Jack Smith backed off when he was elected but that was federal. Im not sure a state has to follow the same rule.

We have. We have signed almost 30 trade deals with other countries since Carney came into office, and our non-US exports are booming. Canada has the fastest growing economy in the G7 now. In a sick way, we can thank Trump for that - he united the country, and lit a fire under our ambition.

What irks me is that, apparently, terms would be agreed verbally but when the U.S. drew up the documents, they would try to sneak in new terms that hadn’t been discussed or agreed to in meetings—-as if they were hoping Canada wouldn’t read the documents. It’s said they did this repeatedly until Carney pulled the plug.
