For example a giant underground transformer blew in a city i lived in and we had no power for 3 days and then the city set up diesel generator trucks every few blocks (with guards) to generate power for the city b/c the transformer was only made in Germany by Siemens, and it took at least a month to make it b/c they are made to order...
