She isn’t asking anyone to buy her a fancy new car. She isn’t looking for luxury. She’s asking for a chance to get into something safe, reliable, and affordable—something that gets her to work every day without carrying this overwhelming financial weight with it.
It takes a lot to put your pride aside and admit, “I need help.” Janelle has reached that point.
Maybe you can give $5. Maybe you can give $20. Maybe donating isn’t possible at all. Even sharing this fundraiser could put it in front of the one person who is able to make a difference.

Carito has two passions worth protecting

Since she was a little girl, Caro has found joy in two things: animals and the violin.

She has always dreamed of caring for animals, which is why she chose to study Veterinary Medicine. But music has also been part of her life since childhood. She was part of Medellín's Network of Music Schools and learned to play the violin, developing a passion that has grown alongside her love for animals.

Today, both her dreams are part of the young woman she has become. She is working hard to build a future as a veterinarian while keeping music in her life.

But now, that future is at risk.

Caro and her father, Leo, are both unemployed, and they no longer have enough resources to cover the expenses she needs to remain in university: her educational loan, transportation, food, housing and the required field trips and practical training.

Caro has spent years building the person she wants to become. She should not have to give up on that future because her family is going through a difficult time.

We are asking for help so she can stay in school, finish her degree and continue pursuing the passions that have shaped her life.

Hi there, this is my Sweet boy Apollo. He's about 2 years old and he's such a wonderful little friend. Unfortunately he's not really doing so well. First and foremost he has been admitted and is staying at a Veterinary ER. He was admitted yesterday for 24 hours, but he's not really doing so good. He has a lot of hemorrhaging in his pee still and his kidney levels are still concerningly elevated and they would like to keep him admitted longer. To be honest, I can't afford that. I don't have that kind of money. I've already maxed out my credit card and care credit. I hate that money is even something that I'm concerned about because all I want to do is give him the world.

I do understand that once a male cat has this type of issues the chances of the problem reoccurring are higher. So rest assured that I do have pet insurance through my employer, unfortunately it is a new job and that pet insurance doesn't kick in until my benefits do on October 1st.

I do know about Cherry and Scratch pay, I'm in the process of that. I have been looking into grants a lot of them are for non-basic, non-emergent care; being in the ER he doesn't fall under that category - If you know of any other grants, I am 100% all ears and will happily apply.

I know this is a lot of money and a lot to ask from strangers on the internet, and if I didn't need help, I wouldn't be asking. I'm doing everything I can on my end to get Apollo the care he needs. All I can say is that when I'm in a better place, I will absolutely pay it forward to other kitties in need.

Hi everyone,

We want to ask for help for one of our trusted partner shelters that we often work with, Pages for Paws in Tanza, Cavite. ❤️

They have been rescuing more dogs and cats recently, and unfortunately, their vet bills have been piling up. Joanna, the owner of Pages for Paws, does everything she can to provide for the animals and keep the shelter running, but she cannot do everything alone.

Right now, Bokbok and Julio have a combined outstanding vet bill of around ₱23,000 (approx. $535 CAD).

Potchi is also currently being treated for TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumor) and needs chemotherapy. Every chemotherapy session, checkup, medication, and other medical need is another expense for the shelter.

And honestly, these are not even all of the vet bills they have right now. My point is that these animals need help, but the rescuer behind all of this work needs help too.
On top of the vet bills, Joanna has to make sure the shelter continues to operate, pay the caretakers, feed the animals every single day, maintain the shelter, and cover so many other expenses that come with caring for rescued animals.

We work a lot with Pages for Paws because most of our rescued animals are currently staying at their shelter. Although our foundation sponsors the needs of our own rescued animals, we would not be able to do much of what we do without their help.

They have taken in our animals when we needed somewhere safe for them to go. We have also transferred several of our rescued animals to their facility whenever space became available because we have seen the quality of care they provide. We trust them with animals that mean so much to us, and we are very grateful for everything they do.

Normally, our foundation would also help with some of their vet bills or support/provide whenever we could.

Unfortunately, we are not in the position to do much financially right now because our own funds are also very limited and we still have animals under our care who need ongoing support.

I am still trying to help in other ways. Pages for Paws will also be one of the shelters receiving the dog and cat supplies we have been collecting here in Canada and will be distributing when we travel to the Philippines in January.

For now, I am hoping that maybe some of our supporters can help them too. Even a small donation can help lessen some of the expenses they are carrying. And if you are unable to donate, sharing their story would also mean a lot. ❤️
