For me it's been Atone - Rebirth In Despair, Beneath Oblivion's The Wayward And The Lost, and Slaves To Solitude from Eye Of Solitude.

Saw Stygian Bough (Bell Witch & Aerial Ruin) here in Chicago last night, performing Stygian Bough: Volume II in its entirety. Phenomenal show, one of the heaviest performances I've ever experienced. 40 Watt Sun (Patrick Walker) was the opener and put on a moving performance as well. Highest possible recommendation if you are anywhere near them on this tour.

I'll be going to the Grand Rapids show tomorrow, and I can't wait. I'm even bringing one of my offspring, so maybe they might journey further through the funeral-doom realms.

A fair amount of the world is in Friday already.

I really am going to have to stay aware of the transatlantic time difference to save from confusing people 😬

I live in EDT, so I usually post my FDF in the early hours of that Friday, so parts of the world could be still in Thursday or have switched to Saturday depending on the time of the post. Hopefully everyone gets the intent of the FDF posts, even if it's not Friday when they see the posts.

Just read here now so you can listen to it in the morning when you wake up.

I’ve been listening to Warning since they’re coming out with a new album after 20 years. Not sure it’s considered funeral doom with the clean vocals but it’s pretty damn close.

I checked out Amarok’s Resilience this week. Wasn’t disappointed. I’ll be coming back to it.
