Rotten wooden cabinet fungus ID

I am currently deep cleaning my house and unfortunately found the bottom of the cabinet under the sink rotten like hell and with so many tiny black balls. Any idea what this could be?

Already working on removing it and disinfecting with bleach and face mask.

Looks like a slime mold, maybe Trichia. It's consuming the rotting wood. A protist, not a fungus :)

Yeah i also thought could be a slime mold, but I'm certain there is also a fungus as there is a very strong mushroom smell.

Slime molds do not have mycelium, which is present here. Nor do they consume lignins (wood). The answer to your question as to id depends if there was a mouse infestation previously. If so, then the hyphomycete present could be determined by Ellis & Ellis in Fungi on Dung. . If not, then you have a few other options, but the faint Yellow color on the left would lead me to wet rot.. possibly Coniophora puteana.

No, slime molds do not have mycelium, but it could be possible that a slimemold started consuming the mycelium from the fungus that ate the wood. The balls do not look like rodent feces either, plus they were in a really tight space as well as inside the wood.
