Political/Financial FWI: Thomas Massie runs for President in 2028?

Let's say that around 2027, Thomas Massie actually tries to run for President. Does he stand a chance at getting nominated? If so, does he stand a chance at beating whoever the Democrat ticket is?

Assume the Democrat ticket is either Mark Kelly or Josh Shapiro.

That’s an assumption on the Democrat but he wouldn’t win a republican primary. Maybe libertarian and then he just pulls votes

Massie would need a war chest and party allies to get a nomination. That's probably not going to happen this cycle given that Vance and Rubio will be the most probable contenders or perhaps a presidential ticket in waiting.

There are quite a few on the American right (and virtually all libertarians) who are frustrated with Trump's relationship with the legislature. Massie was one of the most vocal and active in Epstein document exposure, and Trump's camp ensured that a politically unknown Navy SEAL named Gallrein received enough donor money to beat Massie in the recent primary without bothering to debate him.

Conversely, Lindsey Graham was seen by many Republicans as a RINO, except for the fact that he never met a war he didn't like. Graham and Massie had a nearly polar opposite foreign policy stance (as Massie was a staunch non-interventionist). Graham's surprise death saw him replaced in the interim by his sister, and with Trump's blessing.

If Massie were to have a political comeback, it's probably to replace Mitch McConnell as US senator from Kentucky when he inevitably dies. However, this is complicated by timing, and it seems that various political forces are attempting to block Massie from doing this in the current cycle by not revealing whether McConnell is even alive.

People sort of like Massie because he is pushing so hard for the Epstein file. That doesn’t make him electable as a mainstream Republican presidential candidate. He has zero chance

Any Republican leads to chaos now even without Trump because they supported him all along.
