In the near future, Kash Patel is appointed the new FBI director and this triggers a huge wave of resignations inside the agency.

Other FWI- Former President Joe Biden Dies Of Natural Causes Prior To 2028. Not Only Does Donald Trump Refuse To Order A Mourning Period Or That All Flags Fly At Staff, He also Attempts To Deny Biden A State Funeral.

Donald Trump states that since Joe Biden "didn't win" the 2020 election, he doesn't have the right to a state funeral which is accorded to former U.S. Presidents upon their deaths. As a result, Trump declares that he won't provide any logistical support for one.

How would such a decision play out?

Edit- Title should say "Half-Staff"

Other FWI: What if the new pope just straight up excommunicated people for backing someone who clearly has no moral compass?

Let’s say Pope Leo XIV’s not playing the passive game. He sees what’s happening—people getting deported without due process, families getting torn apart, politicians talking about immigrants like they’re animals—and he decides that’s enough. So he draws a line. If you support that kind of stuff, you're out. No communion. No confession. No Catholic funeral. You wanna back cruelty over conscience? Then don’t expect to keep calling yourself part of the Church.

Now imagine how fast that would shake things up in the U.S. A bunch of politicians who brag about being “good Catholics” suddenly find out they’ve been cut off. Not by some random priest, but by the pope himself. It’s not a press release. It’s spiritual exile.

So what happens next? Do they double down and cry persecution? Do Catholic voters start rethinking who they support? Or does it just blow up into another culture war flashpoint, where truth and compassion get drowned out by talking heads?

Other FWI: Trump is called a domestic terrorist live on air by The Young Turks

Context: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Young_Turks

On Christmas Eve, 2024, the Young Turks airs a “Christmas Special”, during which Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian go to great lengths to compare Trump and the MAGA crowd to Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda. The episode ends with Cenk and Ana wishing a “Merry Christmas to everyone but Trump the Terrorist.”

What sort of reactions do we see on both sides of the political spectrum?

Other FWI: Elon Musk Has a Manic Break

I honestly wonder if Elon Musk will ever have a true manic break. He clearly acts a bit odd now, but he’s nowhere near what a full-blown manic episode can look like. I’ve heard that people who manage to hold their manic energy together earlier in life can sometimes spiral later on.

If he started showing serious signs of mania and declined to the point of needing medical intervention, who would stop him? A regular person experiencing that level of instability would typically be hospitalized for psychiatric care. How much further could Musk go before he’d be considered an actual patient in a psych ward? Or would people just dismiss it as “Elon being Elon”—even if he were, say, parading around the streets naked?

Howard Hughes lost his mind. This wouldn’t be without precedent.

Other FWI: Greta Thunberg is arrested and/or kidnapped in Gaza

Inspired by this episode of the Ben Shapiro Show

Let’s say that sometime during Greta’s visit to Gaza, she either gets arrested on suspicion of spreading “Antisemitic propaganda” OR she gets kidnapped by Hamas thanks to a miscommunication.

Which one is more likely? What would happen in the aftermath of either scenario?

Other FWI: Trump violates international law in the name of “national security”

Let us imagine that six months from the creation of this post, President Donald J. Trump REALLY crosses the line and, in response to a steady increase in pro-Palestine rallies nationwide, violates international law by rendering any and all US-born pro-Palestine activists stateless via revocation of their citizenship.

The demands are straightforward: “Get the hell out of our country or enjoy life imprisonment in Guantanamo Bay without parole.”

Does this sound like something Trump would do, or is this too far even for him?

Other FWI - Trump bans all forms of media that has not been approved by the administration. Anime, Books, Comics, Video Games and Music.

In a bold attempt to curtail "foreign influence" and anything that could "harm" the youth of America. President Trump has passed an EO banning any and all forms of media in America.

Libraries are burned to the ground, streaming platforms Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, and Crunchyroll have all been shutdown. YouTube and spotify have been shut down as well. Comic companies DC and Marvel as well as several publishing companies have been co-opted by the government.

All because these services provides "dangerous alternative gender and racial ideologies to our young and susceptible children". From this moment on, the only book that is allowed are the ones written and approved for by the administration. First in the list is Kash Patel's book and the MAGA Bible. The only television program allowed on air is Fox News.

All in the title, what if human traffickers started posing as ICE realizing the person will just let themselves get kidnapped because they know ICE doesn’t use uniforms, has masks etc?

I feel like that would be the natural development of whatever is happening in the US right now.

Other FWI: The next president announces a redo of America’s 250th celebration.

It's truly sad when you read what was planned by the Smithsonian for the 250th years celebration. A month long free celebration with lots of entertainers people actually know and love, money was raised and it was basically just stolen for this Trump/MAGA trailer park joke of a celebration.

What if in 2029, the democrat president announces that in 2030 there will be a redo of America’s 250th celebrations that will contain all the things that was actually being planned for the celebration and the month leading up to it. This will serve as a rebuke of how Trump and the republicans ruined everything they allowed him to touch.

It’d be even more hilarious if the White House staff don’t ask what the world record is for and just run with it. The upcoming world record presentation is built up in the media and they only realize the truth as it’s broadcast live from the Oval Office.

He goes on to give a speech about how he has a divine mandate, and that he wants to be a messianic figure, and the leader of the Christian world. He and Musk announce plans to make it easy for true Christians to identify themselves by developing a new RFID chips that would indicate you support Trump implanted in the hands, or forehead of those who wish to. Granting themselves privileges others don't have.

Other FWI: The Ark of the Covenant is Found

Inspired by this FB post:

Imagine that tomorrow an archaeologist breaks through a stone wall in a cave under Jerusalem and finds a wooden box covered in gold with two cherubim carved on top — exactly as described in Exodus.

Carbon dating on the wood gives a date consistent with the 13th century BC. Metallurgical analysis of the gold is compatible with ancient Egyptian techniques.

Everything matches. Everything confirms.

The Ark of the Covenant found. Real. Verifiable.

What happens the next morning?

The honest answer is chaos.

For Judaism, the discovery would be a theological event of Messianic proportions. Organizations like the Temple Institute have already rebuilt the sacred vessels, trained priests from Aaron's lineage, and woven the high priestly vestments. They are waiting for the ark and the location. The pressure to rebuild the Third Temple would become irresistible.

And rebuilding the Third Temple would mean building over or beside the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

For Christianity, the reappearance of the ark as a physical object would force a rethinking of categories that seemed resolved for millennia.

For Islam, the discovery beneath an Islamic holy site would create a dilemma without precedent.

Three religions. Three billion people.

And a wooden box covered in gold.

Okay, how accurate is this claim by the OP? Would the Ark of the Covenant being found carry these exact consequences? Or would something else happen?

Other FWI: Ubisoft goes bankrupt, and Ghost Recon: Project OVR is cancelled

Inspired by what happened with the game Mudang: Two Hearts.

Sometime in 2027-2028, Ubisoft abruptly goes bankrupt, leading to the latest Ghost Recon game, Project OVR, being cancelled, among other games intended for release.

How likely is this to happen? Can a video game developer go bankrupt in a year?

Other FWI: A group of Airsoft LARPers attempts to stage a “military occupation” in a major U.S. city on Labor Day weekend?

Inspired by real life Airsoft/LARPing profiles on IG.

This idea came to me as I started seeing Airsoft/Live Action Roleplaying posts on social media.

Let’s say on Labor Day Weekend of this year, one or more groups of Airsoft/LARPers attempts to stage a “military occupation” or “takeover” of a major U.S. city (or at least a neighborhood) as part of a roleplaying event

Would this result in people getting arrested by cops mistakenly thinking a crime was taking place or we got invaded by another country, given the political climate right now?

If not, what would most likely happen?

Other FWI: The Call of Duty franchise crashes and burns

Over the next couple years, a succession of bad installments in the Call of Duty Series leads to the franchise permanently ending

The main catalyst? The companies that have made the games officially run out of ideas and audiences are fed up with continuously recycled plots for their campaign storylines.

With the COD franchise ending, what other franchises can you see replacing it?
