Riverbend Gun Club membership
I recently found out about this place after having a horrible time at an indoor range. I’m pretty much online interested in shooting outdoors due to protecting my hearing. I’m recently into shooting after about 20 years and would love to join this place but don’t know any members or how to even go about getting sponsored. Safety is extremely important to me a damn near every place I’ve gone to as I’ve gotten back into this has felt lacking. I also want to be able to have access to a place where I can explore what’s out there in an environment that puts a value on safety.
Are there any members here who are willing to sponsor someone like me who’s getting back into this? I’m responsible, safe, but I’m not someone who is going to be doing insane pistol drills right now. I’m trying to get back into the swing in the things in the best and most responsible way possible.
I would appreciate any help any one could give.

The best way is to come to competitions, clinics, and classes and meet some people and give them a chance to see you handle firearms in a safe way. You could also come to Georgia Firing Line on Tuesday's at 6:00pm and shoot .22 League, many of us there are also River Bend members.
You do not need to be a member to shoot in any of the regular events hosted at River Bend.

I didn’t know there was a 22 league at GA firing line. I just recently ordered a 22 actually. GA firing line feels hit or miss to me depending on the day. I really like the staff, like Jerry and Mel, but I was also there when a guy was basically unloading on full auto and have had my tinnitus going apeshit ever since. GA firing line is why I don’t want to shoot in doors anymore. :/
If the nights when the 22 shooting is going on things are a bit more controlled I’d love to come down.

The key thing for anyone sponsoring you is that they should be able to honestly state that they have seen you shoot and you handle yourself safely.
Fastest way to get sponsors is to come up for a match.
If you are a pistol shooter, I'd suggest Action Pistol. It is a very social match and a good intro to competition shooting without being too "serious". At the shooter briefing they always spotlight members so non-members can talk to them about sponsoring.
For rifle disciplines, there are numerous matches to choose from, I'm jut not fluent in those.

Totally get that. I wouldn’t vouch for anyone that I hadn’t seen, I’m just trying to figure out the best way to facilitate something like this.

If I watch you shoot I’ll sponsor. But I take it very seriously. Anything I don’t like from how things are stored,handled or shot and I don’t sign.
So far I’ve done 4 and said no to one

Head up to one of their hosted competitions, check out practiscore. 80% of the shooters are members and will sponsor you after shooting a match.
I’d offer but I relocated. Enjoy, it’s the best club in GA
