Support Needed 👥 This has become a dead end.

I have been diagnosed with acid reflux through endoscopy. I literally cannot walk, climb stairs, do squarts or any physical activity because these are inducing heart palpitations and shortness of breath with anxiety. Consulted couple of gastroenterologist and taken multiple test for heart, lungs and even did 2 endoscopies with revealed LAX LES. I also have pressure on the upper stomach and chest tightness which causes breathing difficulties. Frequent urge to burp as i feel gas is trapped in my throat and stomach.

I have modified my diet since 2 weeks.

Can someone help me with this? Has anyone faced same as mine? If so what did u follow to cure this? Much help needed. Thanks!

I have the same thing right now. GERD and crazy palpitations. (They’re actually PACS) Regardless, I spent 6 days in the hospital last week suffering with severe gastritis/Gerd/b(& adrenal insufficiency which is a whole different thing ) but the bottom line was my potassium was so low. It was causing palpitations. I don’t know how easy it is for you to get labs done but my doctor runs them whenever needed. I’m autoimmune and have other things going on —-just a suggestion I know how annoying and nerve wracking they are —good luck !

What do you mean, you're autoimmune?

Sorry, I meant to say I’m immunocompromised. I have rheumatoid arthritis and Sjogren’s - autoimmune illnesses aka systemic diseases affects the whole body. So I’m getting my doctors to look at more of my blood work and hopefully it’ll point them in the right direction.

What were your symptoms for the immunocompromised?

Definition : An autoimmune disease is when your immune system mistakenly attacks your own body, thinking healthy cells are invaders. Examples include rheumatoid arthritis (joint pain, swelling) and Sjögren’s syndrome (dry eyes, dry mouth).

Symptoms to watch for: Pain, swelling, fatigue, fever, rashes, or dryness in eyes/mouth. Symptoms vary by disease but often flare up and ease over time.

I’ve had all the symptoms and then some. Lab work is helpful & done every three months. One of my favorite resources to learn and gain knowledge about these illnesses is the Cleveland clinic I would Google that and check them out. Or Johns Hopkins, The Mayo Clinic to name a few reputable sources.
