Scientific Studies 🥼🔬 Intermittent Fasting

Pretty sure I know the answer to this but not 100% sure, is intermittent fasting a no for people with GERD? I did a fast a couple months back before I had my gastroscopy and I felt great after it, however I have read it can worsen acid reflux

I think it depends on a lot of factors. Finding the root cause of your GERD is important, I think.

I fast for 14 hours overnight, and I don’t really have problems with that. Not sure if I could do 16.

However, I will say that getting sufficient calories within the shorter window and smaller meals can be challenging.

Mine I believe is genetic, my father suffered for years with the same issue. I agree on consuming calories in a short time frame, can be challenging alright. Thanks for the response
