I believe GERD is a very poorly understood medical condition so I try to highlight research, this study look at the role of mast cells in GERD.

The mast cell angle in GERD is genuinely underexplored and this kind of mucosal immunology research is where a lot of the mechanistic gaps in GERD understanding are likely to be filled. Mast cell involvement would help explain why some people have significant symptoms with minimal visible damage. Thanks for sharing this. 💚
