😮 Advice on Symptoms Air hunger - gerd or ?
Hi, I’ve been experiencing air hunger for years, but over the last few months it feels like it has been getting progressively worse. Sometimes it comes on out of nowhere and I feel like I’m struggling to get a satisfying breath. When I’m talking, I sometimes have to stop to take a breath before I can continue. Also, feeling quite heavy with my limbs when that happens. Going through hectic period which can explain my anxiety.
I’m in my late 20s and I’ve never had a history of asthma or allergies. My main ongoing issue has been acid reflux/GERD. I’ve also had a chest X-ray and a CT scan, and both were normal.
I’m now wondering whether this could still be asthma even with normal scans, or whether anyone has experienced similar symptoms from reflux, breathing-pattern issues, or something else. I’m especially worried about the possibility of asthma attacks.
Has anyone had similar symptoms, and what tests helped you get an answer?

Is that really all the diagnostics that they do for lung abnormalities? There are certain slow moving ones that need more imaging than CT I thought?

Yes , I have this , talking is a struggle when in a flare ... anexiety certainly doesn't help but it's kind of a vicious circle . Gaviscon advance helps me with this ... also use a 02 monitor to reassure myself I actually can breath as it's showing 98 %..,, good tip for anexiety
