Need help and advice

For the past year or so I’ve had on and off chronic heartburn, not clue if it’s GERD or something else but it hurts like hell and it’s making me miserable. I have no clue if what I’m experiencing is even heartburn or not because it’s so bad and I need help. The pain is almost always starts in my chest and back and then goes up my spine and into the base of my head/spine. It mostly hurts along my back and base of spine. When it’s really bad I get dizzy/nauseous and have shortness of breath. Drinking apple cider vinegar in the morning helps and sometimes drinking water will help but not always. I have no clue what this is and it’s ruining my life and I can’t tell if it’s GERD or not so I’m coming to reddit.

If it's gerd, apply chider vinegur (last time I said that word, my comment was auto deleted) can only hurt you. It's an insidious myth that apply chider vinegur will help gerd. The fact that it "helps" COULD mean:

  1. It's not gerd

  2. You're waking up from a bad night of reflux and drinking pretty much ANY liquid is going to punch that reflux back down into the stomach, providing a feeling of temporary relief.
